DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

4th best coaster at WDW? Let's see your ranking then.
1. BTMRR
2. RnR
3. EE
4. SDD
5. 7DMT

I suspect that list will be changing somewhat in the next couple years, though.

That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one standing in Crew's Cup for Cinammon Old Fashioneds gets to take Pocohontas home for a Turkey Dinner and a bit of cheeky afters.
And let me tell ya, you've got to lay that bird down, truss up the legs, fill with sausagemeat........

And then tend to the Turkey.

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend chaps. London out.
:lmao:

I can’t let you guys have all the fun.

1. BTMRR
2. Slinky Dog
3. 7DMT
4. SM
5. EE (nearly a tie with RnRC)
I do enjoy the somewhat less intense coasters more, I’m just not a fan of the big drops on EE and RnRC but I really like the other 90% of the ride.

although I was working all day yesterday I did partake in the Black Friday sales early in the morning. Not at a store, I’m not crazy enough to fight my way through that mess. Did online shopping from bed, must more civilized.
I picked up a FireStick at half price so I can get Disney+ on the TV
Also got a new computer since our current one is 8 years old and seen better days (just runs really slow). Of course it’s barely used anymore since everyone has phones and tablets. But DD12 is doing more school work on it. It was really time for a new one anyway.

Morning boys from a -3 London. Went and Frozen 2 (story was OK, songs forgettable) last night, followed by Sushi. Our oldest friends over tonight for a bit ff Turkey and Ham action. If y’all have 3 hours to spare, I would thoroughly recommend “The Irishman” on Netflix, the new Scorcese movie with Pacino, De Niro and Pesci. It’s like Casino and Goodfellas but 20 years later. I need thoughts and wishes guys, the Boy has just started drum lessons and is now ragging on me for a Drum Kit. I'll give him 6 months to see if he sticks with it and maybe get him an electronic set.

and listen to Aerosmith.
This is why it is lower in my list. I'm not a fan of Aerosmith. Unless they are backing up Run DMC.
The gravity defying monorail tree. I guess Cinderella can hang that way all day.
Not the first time we have seen her in that position ;). I really want a monorail for the tree, but as I went to buy it, last year in Wilderness Lodge, the CM put me off saying they keep breaking down. I might try and buy a vintage one. Nice tree there buddy, very festive. We are not allowed to put up decs until after Lady K's birthday, which is Monday. But I have started setting up a "Griswold Bar". I'll stick a photo up later.
He's good. Just an eye checkup. :)
Good stuff. All the best to Pkondz Snr.
Unless you count Frozen Maelstrom as a roller coaster, then that might be my favorite because I get to sing along.
If this is the case, I would definitely stick Splash in there.
Not at a store, I’m not crazy enough to fight my way through that mess. Did online shopping from bed, must more civilized.
Well played. I picked up an Xbox One for £99 on click and collect yesterday, so that can be the kid's birthday present to me. I bought if for Lego Forza, which we had in the office for ages and has got me a bit hooked.
We could do a top 5 attraction at each park as well.
Love it. We could stretch this over a week. A Park a day? Shall we start with the Main One? So MK rides...
It's really tough for MK, so I cheated and made 3 categories

Design & Theming and Overall Coolness
1. Splash Mountain
2. Jungle Cruise
3. Haunted Mansion
4. BTMRR
5. 7DMT

Emotional attachment
1. Barnstormer (First Coaster with Both Kids)
2. Its a small world (The Curly haired Ninja still looks in wonder at this, and has been her favourite since she was 2)
3. Haunted Mansion (First ride we ever did with the kids in MK)
4. Splash (Will always be the Boy's favourite ride until he becomes a teenager)
5. Carousel of Progress

2. People Mover

Sorry for the essay. Have a great day fellas.

Is that next to nowomans? ;)

Happy Saturday. Tennis this morning, a couple of EPL matches, and enjoying time with my fake fireplace, Christmas tree, and Survivor on Hulu. UK vs UL football wasn't much this year.

He's good. Just an eye checkup. :)

Good to hear.

Good get on Firestick. We have those (w/ Prime), a 10 channel cable package, and Disney+, ESPN+, & Hulu. That's way too much TV.

Not the first time we have seen her in that position ;). We've had ours a decade. Maybe? I'd just buy another if it breaks. If I ever get my own room in the house, I may do a monorail set like a train set with multiple lines.

Love it. We could stretch this over a week. A Park a day? Shall we start with the Main One? So MK rides...

Well, this ain't easy. So, my hot Stacy MK must do attractions at MK from memory. I have to ride the train. Not right away, but at least 2 laps around during the day. DW got me hooked on those candy caramel Mickey apples from the Main Street store (over on the right) and other theme parks. And, have to get a picture with Cinderella's castle as a backdrop.

In Tomorrowland, Space Mountain is the must do. Astro Orbiter is nice, especially at night. I like the Carousel of Progress, but it is usually just a nice way to rest. And, the People Mover is just a great way to tour through the land.

Over in Fantasyland, the tea cups were the first selfie I took with DW with our 35 mm camera on our honeymoon in 2000. IASW is a must do as well. Peter Pan's Flight is a good one, but not a must do.

Liberty Square is the Haunted Mansion.

Frontierland is of course BTMRR and Splash Mountain. I'm partial to Country Bear Jamboree and the churros stand.

Adventureland for POTC, because the movies were so good, and I've thought about a tattoo of the Black Pearl. Jungle Cruise for the backside of water. Aloha Isle for the Dole whip.

Which leaves, my top 5:
(1) Space Mountain
(2) BTMRR
(3) Splash Mountain
(4) Mad Tea Party
(5) Walt Disney World Railroad

Ok, here are my top 5 rides:

1. Dawa
2. Nomans
3. Baseline
4. Trader Sams
5. Tambu

Top 5 bars? Dawa isn't my favorite. CJ and I were partial to Bellevue Lounge at BWV and Tambu. If the service were any better at TOTWL, then that would be my #1 pick.

Morning chaps from a sunny but chilly mother country.

Slight hangover this morning, off to the Outlaws probably to watch Premier League with the FIL.

There’s now a little piece of Chicago in our Family Room.....

Replete with Uncle Louis Stogies and an offering from the Jello of the month club. My missus has a lot of patience for my nonsense...

I’m in and have been smitten for years. I am 69 years old and love it!!

Morning, folks. Quiet here this morning. All still sleeping, but me. And I like it that way.

I picked up a FireStick at half price so I can get Disney+ on the TV
I did the same! I picked up the 4K one, though. I already have one for the bedroom TV and this one is for the living room.
Went and Frozen 2 (story was OK, songs forgettable)
First review I've seen about it and... was afraid of that.
I would thoroughly recommend “The Irishman” on Netflix, the new Scorcese movie with Pacino, De Niro and Pesci.
Sounds good. I'll have to see if it's available in Canada.
I need thoughts and wishes guys, the Boy has just started drum lessons and is now ragging on me for a Drum Kit. I'll give him 6 months to see if he sticks with it and maybe get him an electronic set.

I picked up an Xbox One for £99 on click and collect yesterday, so that can be the kid's birthday present to me.
Nice score! Might have to look for that tomorrow. Have a 360 which I'm still playing, but...
Love it. We could stretch this over a week. A Park a day? Shall we start with the Main One? So MK rides...
It's really tough for MK, so I cheated and made 3 categories

Design & Theming and Overall Coolness
1. Splash Mountain
2. Jungle Cruise
3. Haunted Mansion
4. BTMRR
5. 7DMT

Emotional attachment
1. Barnstormer (First Coaster with Both Kids)
2. Its a small world (The Curly haired Ninja still looks in wonder at this, and has been her favourite since she was 2)
3. Haunted Mansion (First ride we ever did with the kids in MK)
4. Splash (Will always be the Boy's favourite ride until he becomes a teenager)
5. Carousel of Progress

Not top attractions but things we always do without fail
1. Tiki Room
2. People Mover
3. Carousel of Progress
4. Barnstormer
5. Tea Cups
Ok, here are my top 5 rides:

1. Dawa
2. Nomans
3. Baseline
4. Trader Sams
5. Tambu
Holy crap!

Okay...
Fave rides at MK.
1. HM
2. PP
3. BTMRR
4. POTC
5. JC

Things to do without fail..
1. Dole Whip Float
2. Cut through all the buildings on Main st to avoid the unmoving crowds.
3. Stop and feel the "home" feeling when first seeing the castle.

If I ever get my own room in the house, I may do a monorail set like a train set with multiple lines.
Love that idea. ::yes:: Didn't know you could get multiple lines for it.
So, my hot Stacy MK must do attractions at MK from memory. I have to ride the train. Not right away, but at least 2 laps around during the day.
That's gonna be tough for a while still. Not sure when the date is for reopening it.
Astro Orbiter is nice, especially at night.
Serious question. Do you fit? I've heard that Astro is extremely tight for adults and as a result, I've never ridden it... but wanted to for the night views.
Well done!

I did the same! I picked up the 4K one, though. I already have one for the bedroom TV and this one is for the living room.
I only got the 1080p one, it was only 25 bucks and I’m sure eventually get a 4K tv but no idea when. I’d like to have a new one now but there’s nothing technically wrong with the TVs I have now. They’re 5 and 11 years old so I know a newer one would give a much better picture. But they were both good Sony’s when I bought them and they’ve stood up very well. I can’t justify changing yet.

There are few longer waits, my friend, than a man waiting for his TV to break so he can get a new one.

I only got the 4k one because I wanted to ensure the best possible picture quality and to stave off future obsolescence. We'll see if it worked. I figured, for an extra $10... why not.
Update: had I stayed outside doing my Christmas decorations 30 minutes later, I would have taken a much better picture of this guy running down my street. I’m calling him Chris Moose. Canada, eh? 🇨🇦View attachment 455895
Just wait a while longer. Don't you have those running through the streets on a regular basis?
