Easiest place (reasonably priced) to stay with a large family?

Have you considered renting Disney Vacation points? Our daughter was about 18 mos. during our first trip to WDW and staying on-site made the entire trip so much easier. Bus transportation to and from parks, mid-day breaks, nice pools, etc. Renting points through a DVC member can save you quite a bit for not much more than renting an offsite property.

I would suggest renting DVC points to book a two bedroom villa. Depending on the resort you book, it won't be much more than booking two separate value rooms, and the accommodations will be far superior. You can save extra money by fixing meals in the full kitchen, and it is awesome having free, in-room laundry. The two bedrooms at AKL Kidani are our favorite because they have three bathrooms, which I imagine will be a huge help with three teenagers in the family! And even though AKL is often seen as being far from most of the parks, not having to share a bus with other resorts or having a huge internal bus loop more than makes up for it in saved time and headaches.

We did this at the BCV years ago, it was great, but even renting directly from DVC owners, it still came out to a little more than 2 moderates, significantly more than an off site rental.

Haha!

The thread is asking for reasonably priced places! The rack rate for the treehouses are 900-1500 a night. :D
That’s rack rates. They are often included in discounts. And you have access to a full kitchen and if you are so inclined could make breakfast in the room prior to leaving - saving more money. My sil was able to us her military discount a couple years ago to get 40% plus off.

We have a family of 7 also (5 kids) we normally do two value rooms. We stayed at fort wilderness campgrounds in a cabin once when the youngest was two. It was a bad choice for us. Getting on an internal bus to get off and on another bus/boat to get to the park was ridiculous with a double stroller and two younger ones. Having the kitchen and the refrigerator was nice but the playpen had to be set up in the kitchen area which left no room. The cabins were just not to us mainly due to the internal bus issue.
