Family of 5… rent DVC?

Also, Wyndham has been cracking down on rentals and have owner priority reservation periods - March 14-30 2025 is one of them. So if you are going then, unless you know someone to rent from at Bonnet Creek, I'd worry about getting cancelled.

We're a family of 5 who owns at both Poly and Riviera due the larger size of their deluxe studios and 2 showers. Either of those are great renting options! You just have decide if you want to be closer to EPOCT with Riviera or MK with Poly. With Poly you can also take the monorail to EPCOT, albeit takes a little longer than the ride to MK, whereas with Riviera you can only get to MK by bus. Also be aware that if there's weather and the skyliner is down you have bus back to Riviera from EPCOT as well.

Id pick Poly for sure. Two showers, more room, great theming, awesome pool, good food options, ideal location. We always stay in the Tokelau building to have easy access to the monorail, so easy access to 2 parks. But the Poly rooms are in separate buildings from the lobby, unlike Riviera. So something to consider if that bothers you. But I’d pick Poly first, Boulder ridge/wilderness lodge second. Riviera is my least favorite but a lot of people like it

Is the lava pool’s slide too intense/ not an option for a 4 year old? We stayed at a resort this spring that had a slide that he was too small for and it was a nightmare- lots of tears! Definitely don’t want to stay somewhere that has a slide that he can’t go on.

If you love wilderness lodge then I recommend Boulder ridge. The resort was recently refurbished and the rooms are beautiful. But it’s Disney, to me, you can’t go wrong with many of the deluxe choices. I just want to be there!

The pool itself is fine for all ages (it’s zero entry) but the slide may be too intense for little kids. There is however a tiki themed kids splash area with a mini slide that would be perfect for a littler kid. There’s also a “quiet” pool that’s basically just a regular pool.

Agreed that the splash pad, which has two slides that would be appropriate for a four-year-old, is a big draw.

Throwing one more option in… Poly, WL or RIviera?
With a family of 5, you would need a studio at Boulder Ridge, or a 2BR at Copper Creek. Copper Creek has a hard limit of 4 guests in both the studio and 1BR.

The BRV 1BR will accommodate 5 but lacks a bed for the 5th guest.

We stayed at the Poly in November and my 4 year old was big enough for the slide at the lava pool but preferred the kids area.

I'd say either Poly for the extra bathroom or Boulder Ridge if you love Wilderness Lodge!

Did your 4 year old have to go down the slide by themselves? Were they able to go with an adult? Thanks!
