Fast food delivery options to Great wolf lodge, Niagara Falls?

1. We are going to GWL in a couple weeks and was wondering what sort of options might be available for fast food (pizza/KFC/Swiss chalet etc) delivery to the resort? I assume take-out/delivery menus aren't available in room since GWL would be promoting their own on-site restaurants.

2. I have read that in all GWL rooms there is a micro and a fridge? Can anyone confirm this? Also wondering if there might be a toaster in room as well?

Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Hi we went last sept. There is no toaster. There is a fridge and microwave and a coffee maker. There is a pizza place really close. I can't remember the name but it looks like a hole in the wall. It had great pizza. I think I got the name last year in the travel forum at redflagdeals.com
I believe in the room there is a list of take-out resturants.
Have a great time. We had a blast. One thing I would recommend water shoes for in the water park.

For really great pizza, order from Franks. They are very close by, and the place that I think the PP was referring to as a hole-in-the-wall....and she's right! The building isn't much to look at, but the pizza is divine! :littleangel:

Every room has a fridge and a microwave. No toaster (nor do I think you're even allowed to bring your own under fire regulations).

The buffets at the lodge are really good, though a wee bit pricey. For adults, breakfast is $14.99 per person, lunch is $12.99, and dinner is $19.99. Kids each at much cheaper rates. On the whole, dining is Niagara is expensive at best. We paid $100 for four burger and fries meals at Perkins last year (including tax and tip) :scared1:, so that makes the lodge meal look cheap in comparison (at least the Lodge is all-you-can-eat, including many kids selections, a wonderful sundae bar with all-you-can-eat soft ice cream, and a multitude of homemade squares...mmmmm!) . And its so convenient to grab a meal right a the Lodge (and it decorated so nicely.....many of the tables are set in their own "tent", and a tree grows up through the middle of the restaurant).

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. We spent four days there last summer, six days there in July this year, and have another 5 booked for January 2010. Its our favourite Ontario family vacation spot.

I mentioned your post to my DH on our way to work this a.m., and he had a couple of thoughts to add as well:

- There is a Swiss Chalet on Lundy's Lane (about 10 min or so from the Lodge). I would think they would have delivery.

- There are MANY other fast food chains on Lundy's Lane as well (KFC, Pizza Pizza, Popeyes, IHOP, etc.). Not sure how many of them deliver to the Lodge (some, like Pizza Hut, will not), but you could probably find out pretty easily in advance with a quick phone call. Check the Lundy's Lane website (www.lundyslane.com) for a list of dining establishments and their phone numbers. It is typically much cheaper to eat at these restaurants (as opposed to the ones near the Falls) as they are away from the tourist area.

- A great place for a cheap breakfast is the Flying Saucer. For something like 99 cents you get two eggs, toast and homefries. The building itself is in the shape of a big flying saucer.....kinda gaudy but the kids will get a kick out of it. They also have a coupon available online for 10% off your meal (click here: http://www.fallscasino.com/saucer/coupon.html). Again, this one is on Lundy's Lane.

- There's a place called Betty's Restaurant that is just out of town. It gets high praise for good quality, homemade food at a great price. I have my doubts they deliver (but hey, who knows?), but if you like what you see, it might be worth a call. Here's their website: http://www.bettysrestaurant.com. This place is on our Niagara "to do" list !

If I can think of any more, I will post 'em! :flower3:

They offer pizza delivery to your room internally at the hotel. It's expensive though. We called around to see if any pizza place delivered to the hotel & they didn't (I think it's because GWL has a contract with Dominos or Pizza Pizza, can't remember which one is internal in the hotel). Maybe a hole in the wall does? We just called the major chains. We were only there for 1 night though & ate at the hotel.

Wow, thanks so much for all the awesome info. I just called Franks pizza in Niagara and they deliver to GWL!!!!:goodvibes
