I just picked up two guidebooks for Disneyland. One says there is fastpass for the mattahorn, which would be great since it's like one of the slowest loading rides. However, the other makes no mention of fastpass. So, which is it? Yes or no?

No fastpass, never has been.

Its actually not that slow loading, especially if they have both tracks open. Even a line halfway around the mountain only takes 15-20 minutes.

I would truly hate to see this one have a fast pass, it would ruin it. They have played around with the line quite a bit in the past few years (always puting it back the way it's been for ages) and everytime it does down for rehab there are rumors that they will install FP, but as of yet, they haven't done it

For some reason Birnbaums has Matterhorn listed as fastpass. No idea why the "inside" experts make that kind of mistake. The best way to do Matterhorn is get there early as soon as the park opens. Head straight to it and you will have no wait and can easily ride multiple times. We usually do Peter Pan and Dumbo our first day and then do Matterhorn first our second day.
