Awesome! Thanks!
Found out a couple months ago that there is a way onto the Contemporary resort roof as well. Have to climb the stairs on the corners of the building (ignore the signs claiming there is no roof access). Little bit of a workout but the views are worth it.

Free:
  • Start at the Grand Floridian and check out the shops and live music. If you have money in the budget, get a specialty cupcake from the quick service restaurant. Then, Ride the monorail over to the Polynesian. You can watch the MK fireworks and Electric Water pageant from the Poly beach. You can also get a Dole Whip at Captain Cooks quick service. Also, form there you can take the monorail over to the Contemporary and see the MK fireworks from the open space near Chef Mickey.
  • Smores at Ft Wilderness with Chip and Dale most night [maybe every night].
  • Searching for hidden Mickeys around the resorts
  • If you have Memory Maker, go to the Photo Pass Photography Studio at Disney Springs and take pictures with fun backdrops
  • Free face paint at the Mara quick service restaurant for kids on certain afternoons at Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Use night vision goggles at AK Lodge to see the animals.

Almost Free:
  • Rent surrey bikes at Boardwalk and several other resorts.
  • Balloon rides at Disney Springs. They often have deals on Groupon
