We'll be sailing on the Magic next year and need to choose early or late seating. We are a family of 4 with two boys (ages 11 and 6 at time of sailing). Our TA is pushing for late seating so we "won't have to cut any shore excursions short". I think 8:30 would be a little late for my kids. Wouldn't we be cutting short shore excursions to make it to the shows before the 8:30 seating?

Thanks for advice from anyone who has been in the same boat...I mean ship...I mean situation!:p

If you want to see the shows, you would have to be back on the ship at the same time, so you are right thinking there. Even taking into consideration that you don't have to be dressed up for the shows, it wouldn't make that much difference in time.
