I am trying to plan a three night trip to Universal in June for family of six. We go to Disney every year and have avoided Univeral because of the long lines. The FOTL feature at the two onsite hotels is very appealing, but I don't know if we can afford two rooms at either of those hotels. Can anyone recommend an offsite hotel/suite which would accomodate six? or is it worth the money to stay onsite??

I personally would think you would do better to rent a house for six people, hotel rooms would cost as much if not more off site and definitely more staying at a Universal hotel !

Also, you dont have to stay onproperty to get front of the line access. For example, if you buy Orlando Flex tickets, which give you access to Universal, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld and Busch Gardens ( and Wet N Wild I believe), you can get FOTL privileges too! This may also be the case for the 2 or 3 day passes for Universal and IOA only, but I'm not sure about that one.

Click on the link below to see a post by Barry, one of this sites Moderators, which gives pretty exhaustive info on FOTL privileges and how to get them !
