How to Get a "Heads-Up" on Codes?

Seeing as these latest rates seemed to catch everyone off guard, is there a trick to getting a heads-up on their release? No one ever seems to post anything in advance of the codes being released, so are they just announced totally by surprise? Surely, someone must have some advanced notice!

this internet site and other like it - are the 'heads up' on discount codes.

there were and probably are several people here at work who think that WDW resorts are only the rack rate...

I do try.

LOL spicey, I know what you mean. Fortunately, I have time to browse all these sites all day and accumulate wealths of (generally useless) information about Disney!

But when I read that lots of resorts are booked already, a lot of people must be finding out and calling about these codes first thing in the morning. Was there any notice yesterday that they'd be released?

And if rooms are booked, what are the chances of rooms coming available as people regroup/cancel/change plans etc?

I found this out ...........just by a hunch...I do it all the time for codes. this is not the first time I just called and they have been just released!!
hey I do it withthe lottery to!

Many of the Disney-specialist TA's are on the phone every morning, so if you want the best advantage to get the codes, you can book with them.

Most AP holders received an email this morning that said that the rates go out tomorrow but AP holders get one day priority advance purchase notice today before GP and FL residents.

It doesn't sound like the AP holders got the email in advance this time. Am I wrong?

Do any current AP holders post to let us "possible future AP holders" know rates are going to be released, or is that confidential information? ;)

I never got an email this morning and I found out late because I wasn't here early to find out.

Can you post emails to the DIS? If you want, I'll post it, but it just says that today, AP get a one day head start on everyone else.

O. K. here it is (text only).

My mom always gets the AP e-mails from Disney, but usually mid-morning. By that point, the codes have been all over the boards for a few hours. We never get an e-mail from Disney and we keep checking on it, but alas no e-mail. Thankfully, I got an AP rate for September though! :goodvibes
