Kualoa Ranch and Polynesian Cultural Center in one day

Not really. The Culture Center is an all day experience, generally from 10am to 10pm if you see the evening show after dinner (worth it).

It can be done, but how feasible it is depends on which tours you want to do at Kualoa Ranch. The Polynesian Cultural Center opens at noon. Depending on the tour you choose at KR, you will probably only spend 1-3 hours there. However, that means you would need to do an early morning tour (8 or 9 ish). That gives you more than enough time to get to PCC. The village tours are available until 6pm. If you do the luau and Ha Breath of Life show, you will be there until 9pm or so. If you’re staying in Waikiki, the drive to KR should be about 30 minutes depending on traffic. If you’re staying in Ko Olina, count on an hour travel time to KR.

We have this scheduled for our trip in two weeks. We are taking the jungle jeep expedition at Kualoa Ranch 8:45 for a 90 minute tour and then planning on spending a few hours at the PCC and being sure to catch their canoe show at 2:30. We will not do the luau there or eat the buffet, etc. Our objective at the PCC is to do brief tours of the different cultural areas and then head out (we're not doing extra demonstrations, shows, shopping, lots of food experience/snacking/eating, etc). We should have plenty of time, especially considering they are only a short distance from each other.

If you haven’t already, check the PCC website for the presentation times for each island. All the villages shut down for the canoe pageant. Unfortunately, each island only has 4-5 presentations daily and some of them overlap slightly.

I can't confirm if this is always the case or just our experience, but our tour time was supposed to be 9am. We had to arrive by 8:30 to check-in, they took roll call at 9, and we weren't actually in our tour vehicle and on the way until 9:15-9:30. Our tour group was all there on time, and it was only 12 people, so I'm not sure if that's typical protocol or not.

For OP, I will add that our tour was 2.5 hours so we finished up around 11:30 and opted to have the buffet lunch at the Ranch which was delicious. A lot of the food, including the beef, is directly from the Ranch. We spent the whole morning there, but there are shorter tours depending what you want to do. Also keep in mind that some of the tours are only offered once a day, so you may not have your choice of time.

Is there much to do at the Polynesian Cultural Center if we don't arrive until 3pm? We weren't planning on eating there or doing the luau if that helps. Would it be worth a stop if it's on our way to another location on the North Shore or would it not be worth it to stop at 3pm for a couple hours? Is the shopping there "not to be missed"?

I was at PCC in April '19 and we arrived early (8 or 9 am) but were done in mid afternoon (2 pm). Shopping is the same as everywhere else on the island. But you will find more than 4 hours of stuff to do. We didn't even eat there (except for some ice cream). We didn't do the luau there though many enjoy it (we did the Aulani one, actually). Each land is worth spending time in, but you need to watch schedules of when shows are, and not arriving until after 3 tightens up your possibilities.
