Well, apparently the online allotment of Doug sets sold out in about 15 minutes this morning.
Of course, a slew of Doug sets are already on Ebay and at least 4 have already been sold for over $50 (twice the retail price).
When will Disney wake up to the money they are losing?
Between online sales and the sales at both CA and FL D-Streets, my bet is that there will not be a single Doug set available "from Disney" after today.
So, Disney sells 1,000 sets at $26.95 bringing in revenues of $26,950.
Then, many of these sets will be either sold on eBay for twice the value or used by traders to nab high-value Vinylmations.
At this point in time, the Demand is high for these special series. Basic economics says that Disney should either up the price or up the supply.
Otherwise, they are leaving money on the table that professional eBayers are taking greedily.
