I have two contracts; one big and one smaller (an add-on). I borrowed the entirety of my allocation from the add-on contract, from two years from now into next year, for an Adventures by Disney trip in September (which is part of "next year" for me). When would be the earliest I could sell the add-on without causing any disruption to my plans for that Adventures by Disney trip. Also, I know will the fact that it has points borrowed from two years from now will have some effect on sale price and such, but could someone please provide some insight into how much impact that would have?

Thanks!

I can't comment on the first part of your question, but as for the effect on resale of a borrowed out contract, all I can say is this. We are imminently closing on a BCV resale contract and in our search to find the right contract for us, we didn't even consider any contracts that were borrowed to the hilt. In our opinion (and keep in mind, it is just that, an opinion), the price of a borrowed out contract would have to be significantly discounted, possibly to the extent that it would be in danger of not passing ROFR.

Brian you likely need to talk to member admin to be sure. My guess is for an Adventures by Disney trip where you'll still be a member that it won't matter at all. If it will matter, you'd have to wait until the trip itself.

My experience is that smaller contracts are pretty easy to sell, the question is at what price. The specific resort will have a large effect, otherwise it's pretty easy to adjust the price accordingly to make it a fair transaction for both parties.
