Hi All. Sorry to finish this so late. I just started My summer Semester at College and life has been a little nuts. So for the readers I have left here is our final Day in California and our trip home.

Day 6 June 21, 2003

We woke up at our usual early time and ate again at the hotel, finishing the food we brought from home and from our shopping trip the first night. We also had the pastries from the hotel as they were really good. We finished packing and cleaning up the room to make sure we had everything.

The day kind of matched the mood a little dreary, I wanted to stay another week at least! We went in to Disneyland and Dad and I walked on to a ton of our favorite rides, Matterhorn, Indy, Pirates. We were hitting everything just exactly right. While we were on the rides Mom didn't want to go on she went around and took pictures of things we haddn't gotten yet then met us at the ride exits.

She had an awesome experience when we were on Indy, I wish I was there. She was taking pictures in Toontown and came around a corner to see Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Max, and Goofy with only their security guards with them. Needless to say she took a lot of pictures and the guards were nice enough to take her picture with the characters too but she wanted Dad and I to be there too. Looking back at our pictures now we met a lot of characters without even trying.

We then ran over to California Adventure at 10:00am to maybe ride Sorin again and get a pin but they had a longer line so we just got the pin and got on the Monorail to take a picture of our hotel from the outside.

By the time we finished this it was unfortunatly time to head back to Orange County Airport and go home... but the story doesn't end here.

We get to the airport and trun in our car with no problems, finding our way into the terminal was another matter but soon we found the elevator and got to the ticketing counter. United has theose spiffy machines that you can self check with the credit card the tickets were on so I stuffed in my credit card, (I paid for Air and Mom and Dad paid for the package) and it came up that I could check in but Mom and Dad had to see an attendant. We do all have the same name by the way so I check my stuff through Chicago to Minneapolis and get my passes. Mom and Dad wait for an attendant to find out that they were on a different flight home through Denver!

A little explanation here. About 2 weeks before we left United called and said they had to change our flight itinerary so we did what we were told and left. Then in the SNA Airport we find out that they only switched me not all 3 of us.

Eventually the ticketing agent got us all on the same flight, not that it really mattered to us but my sister would have had to make 2 trips to the airport to pick us all up. we then proceeded through security and to the gate. Early for our flight we grabbed some McDonalds and ate at our gate.

The flight to Chicago was the longest flight I have ever been on and the first time I ever got to see an in flight movie. The movie was okay but I was happy I finally got to see any movie on a plane. (Little things excite me!) We landed in Chicago just fine, actually 10 minutes early and got to our other gate.

When we borded the plane and were sitting in our seats, I, because I had been taking so many antihistamines, had a nosebleed. This was nothing new to me, I fought with them all winter long, even going to see a specialist. I found it mildly entertaining that I knew the Biohazard rules better than the flight attendant who was helping me. Of course I am a pharmacy/med student and have done this all WAY to many times before.

I got that taken care of and we took off in good order. ALong the way home we could see fireworks from various city celebrations, I'm not sure what was going on in June but we saw about 4 different cities in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois having fireworks. It was kind of cool being above them and at night.

We landed in Minneapolis and got our bags. This time My two bags were searched instead of Mom and Dads. My sister then picked us up and we went home to bed.

The next day while unpacking I discovered the 2 spices I bought in LA our first day there were missing. I was mad because both were unopened, in a ziplock bag with the grocery store recipt and looked nothing like illegal substances. I was even more mad when I discovered I was right in LA, I couldn't buy either one in Minnesota. I grumbled for a day or two when a package from United showed up in the mail. Apparently they were accidently left out of my suitcase and somehow were traced to me and mailed back. Boy was I suprised!

Again the story does not end here... About a week ago we get a letter in the mail from Alamo saying we damaged the rental car and now have to pay for it. Remember the crack in the bumper when we picked it up? We called and Mom argued for a while and at this point they have cleared the claim from us but we'll see what the credit card statement says.

That's the end of the story. All the pictures are developed or printed and the scrapbook is just about finished so I thank you all for being patient with me and for reading my reports and sign off.

Coming in January! - Minnesotans Cruisin' the Carribean! That's right another Disney trip for Me and my best friend this time on Disney Cruise line!
