Mirage std. rooms are far nicer than CP's classic--and there are no guarantees that you will get an upgrade at CP. You can try the $20 trick when you get there; they may upgrade you. Or they may offer you an upgrade for $x/nt. Forum, Palace or Augustus are all lovely.
DH had the buffalo filet at MIX--to die for!

We're locked into CP as we booked a package with Virgin America, but that's okay. DBF did not want to stay at the Mirage. We know there's no guarantee of an upgrade, but we'll try to $20 trick! If they offer to bump us up for $x a night, we'll turn it down. As long as a room is clean, it's fine with us. It would be nice, but not necessary to have the luxury.
Ooo, I was thinking of the steak fillet, but buffalo sounds wonderful!!
