Most famous person from your High School

Nobody of note at my high school. We had a high school right next to us. The schools literally shared buildings but they were two different schools. Beyonce went to the other school. I'm pretty sure she wasn't there a lot though.

i know, i know i am not following directions but..........Mike Mussina MLB lives a couple miles away.........Ed Ott MLB went to school about 5 miles away......Taylor Swifts dad graduated from the school all my kids went to.....Gary brown NFL went to school in the next district......Tina Russell one of the first major porn stars grew up here

Long time since I was a CAPA kid, 32 years. God, I loved that school...:lovestruc
.

CAPA is on the list for granddaughter to apply to for next year. She isn't a performer but is a gifted artist. I never knew they also accepted students for physical art.

That was my major, Visual Art. CAPA really respects the kids who go there, respect for their gifts.

Snoop Dogg and Cameron Diaz, off the top of my head.

A ton of athletes, but Milton Bradley and Billie Jean King are the only names I recognized

I didn't have any famous contemporaries, but a guy who graduated from my same high school is doing quite well from himself now, Todd Gurley.
I have never met him but he's still very active with events in our small home town, in particular for the local kids.

Matt Maupin - SS US Army, made national headlines after his convoy was attacked and he was first American soldier MIA in Iraq
Matt Marksberry- Atlanta Braves
Jay Owens- Colorado Rockies

This thread is teaching me how little I know about popular culture. I've never heard of so many people that everyone else recognizes!

I know my wife and I feel the same way every time we watch TMZ. They start a story on someone and we are both like "Who?"

On another note. Joanne Woodword ( I know some of you are saying who?) :)
went same high school as my mom.

She's applying to 3 schools outside of her feeder school otherwise it's Washington. I'll home school her before I let her go there. This is a sample of her artwork. She did it freehand. Know it's not the right forum but I am really proud of her.3.JPG

Very cute! If I can give a little advice, make sure that when she presents her portfolio for CAPA's art teachers to judge on the day of her audition there is variety. Besides drawings like the one above, have her do at least one landscape, and a still life. Have her use different mediums, like colored pencils, watercolors or acrylic paints, and pastels. The teachers like to know that she'll take to teaching in different mediums. Good Luck to her!:cutie:

Thanks. Her art teacher gave her some suggestions along those lines. She draws flowers all of the time and has used colored pencils for that. She does pencil drawings quite a bit. She travels everywhere with a sketch pad. She really hasn't used any type of paint medium although she does have them. I'm a little concerned about travel to CAPA but it's an amazing school for her.
