Multiple questions about McCarran Airport

I will be heading out west in 46 days & I have about 1 1/2 hours to kill at McCarran via a layover to change planes. I was wanting to do a little gambling but I didn't know if they had penny or nickel slots or quarters were the lowest dollar amount.

Secondly I want to do some shopping for some Criss Angel & Penn & Teller merchandise but I was unsure if they had either available at the airport. I am a HUGE P&T fan & am unable to go into the city to see them so I was very much hoping there was a shop on airport property that I could get P&T & Criss Angel merch.

This is my first trip to McCarran since I was 13 & I wanted to see if anyone on the boards can answer my two questions so I have more of an idea what will be there when I land. TIA!

I haven't been through the airport lately, but I'd wager that they have plenty of penny slots available. I was in Vegas this past weekend and it seems all the casinos are almost exclusively penny slots now, because they make way more money off them than other denominations.

You'll probably be able to find some Criss Angel merch at the airport, but I'm not sure about P&T merch. No definite idea on either one, though.

The only shop run by a Harrahs property is the Caesars shop and I would check there for P&T, because Penn & Teller is at the Rio, which is a Harrahs property.

There is a combined Mandalay/Luxor/Excalibur/Circus gift shop. These properties were part of a company called Mandalay Resort Group (and before 2001, Circus Circus Enterprises) so their shops are together. Try there for the CA merchandise; however, that show is owned by Cirque du Soleil. Good luck & have fun shopping!

And regarding the machines at the airport, my mom wins money like every time she visits me on the Wheel of Fortune machines in the C gates, because she always flies Southwest. Believe they have all denominations available, if I recall. My sister won $400 at the machines in baggage claim once.

Yes, there are all denominations at the airport. Most people say that they are not a good bet (because of the odds). We don't gamble there because we are always in a big hurry to get to our hotel. When we fly back home, we have completed our gambling and it just is kinda a turn off when we are back in the airport.

I saw P&T stuff in one of the shops but can't remeber which. Last trip won 2500 on a quarter machine... Free trip

Yes to both questions. Most of the casino groups will have a gift shop at the airport. Also, there are plenty of machines near the gates to suck in that last bit of money you might have in your pocket!!! LOL.
