We will be on the Magic Western cruise during Christmas week and then at Widerness Lodge through New Years Day.

Any suggestions on activites for New Years Eve, especially dinner?

Thanks in advance for any tips.....  :Pinkbounc

The main suggestion for NYE dinner is "book early". You also might want to decide how you want to spend NYE. If it's over a nice dinner that's great. If it's in the parks, that's wonderful. However, it's hard to do both (unless you eat in a park restaurant). The parks will be packed and will usually cut off entry at some point.

CG, the obvious choice, generally runs a special event dinner with a price tag in the $300 pp and up range. They usually have some sort of casino event and I bet it's a good time, just be aware it is pricey.

GF has a dinner dance in the ballroom. Atlantic Dance at BW also usually has a big ticket event of some sort.

Thank you for the suggestions, however, not quite up on the abreviations.....What is CG?

Thanks

We were there this year and are returning for 2003. New Year's eve is busy in any park. We started the day at MGM and toured withlittle problems until 4 and then headed to epcot via boat. We had ps at Teppanyaki for 7:30pm We toured some of FW and then shopped around until 6pm when they handed out noise makers and hats. It then became very noisy! We went to dinner just as the rain started. It poured all during dinner(we had to wait almost an hour even with PS). Lots of celebs out that night(Meredith Viera was at the restaurant). By the time we left rest. we were ankle deep in water and the outdoor music venues were not operating. We took boat to BW and DH went on to MGM, got the car and picked us up at Boardwalk(they had noisemakers and hats in the lobby there with a juggler) and we returned to OKW and watched the ball drop from our room and got to see some of the fireworks which went on even with the rain. I think we may try MGM this year, but we will make a PS asap for whereever we want to dine that night.

CG is California Grill, located at the CR (contemporary resort). I know the abreviations take a while to figure out! We just spent our first NYE at WDW and had a great time. We had an early dinner at LeCelier and just stayed at Epcot. With a little planning you will make out fine!
