I am 54 this will be my second marriage my fiance is 63 his second marriage also. We have 7 children between us along with 2 grand babies. Our entire family just loves Disney. We all go several times a year Every year our gift to all our kids and their significant others is a completely expense paid trip for 4 days during Christmas. We have decided to have a Disney wedding. Is it silly for two people our age to want a Disney wedding? We have not informed any of the kids we want to do it as a surprise. So we have about $30,000 in our budget. We will only have 30 people but we want to do the Wedding Pavillion also would like a nice sit down reception at the Napa Room in California Grill. I am not sure if our budget will be enough. I definitely want flowers, cake and most certainly pictures at Magic Kingdom. Am I dreaming or would it be possible?

Welcome! I replied to your question in the other thread with a breakdown of basic costs. It is definitely doable with that budget for 30 people. It is also totally not silly to want a Disney wedding at any age!

You might be interested in this episode of my podcast, which features an equally young-at-heart couple who reunited more than 50 years after they first met and had a Disney wedding aboard the cruise line: http://disneyweddingpodcast.com/2014/05/28/cruise-wedding-spotlight-susan-bob/

I also have this episode that breaks down the basics of a Wishes wedding at Walt Disney World, which is the collection you'd need to use in order to have 30 people. Note that the "mini Wishes" option discussed is no longer available: http://disneyweddingpodcast.com/2017/01/18/wishes-collection-overview/

My DH and I were both 49 for our Disney wedding. It was my first, his second. We had 50 friends and relatives attend from the NY/NJ area. Best thing we ever did. Enjoy it and the Christmas season is a beautiful time for Disney.
