I just tried to book a cruise from a OBB placeholder. I was told the deposit was 20%. Is that correct?? When I switched an OBB booking for a cruise last year it was only a 10% deposit. I’m

The typical deposit is 20%. Onboard booking deposits are 10% for cruises of 7 nights and longer, or 20% for cruises of 6 nights and shorter.

For an onboard booking, if you actually booked a placeholder ($250), then you pay the difference from that number to the actual deposit for the cruise.

Thanks! It was a 4 night cruise so that would explain 20% deposit.
