Odd request - nice community a little ways away from Disney?

We are looking at going to visit the mouse next winter, but are planning to travel with my parents who are going to go for an extended stay and only have a couple of park days, so don't need to be that close to the action. So we are looking for some nice rental options about 30-45 minutes (or so) from Disney so when we are having our non-park days, we aren't paying the Disney real estate premium or dealing with Disney traffic. So far we have stumbled upon the Solana community, which looks good and has some great resort amenities (clubhouse, pool, etc.) so am curious as to what other communities/resorts/developments are out there.

Does anyone who knows the Florida area have any recommendations of resorts/communities to look up? Since we will be an extended family traveling, we are looking for detached houses/villas with likely around 4-5 bedrooms.

TIA!

Solana is very good . It is on Hwy 27 going South from Hwy 192 heading for I-4

It is about 15 to 20 min drive to Disney Springs.

Lots of good eating places on Hwy 192 Before you enter The Disney area.

( Manny's Chop House , Longhorn Steakhouse , Texas Road House , Cracker Barrel etc. )

Publix Supermarket is 2 miles South on Hwy 27 , with Walmart another 3 miles further on .

Other places are Hampton Lakes , Westridge etc.

Hampton Lakes very quiet and friendly. We also stayed at Legacy. We did't notice any difference between gated and non-gated communities. We felt safe in the area and having stores so close was convenient especially when we needed raincoats.

Highlands Reserve is also a great spot. Within 1 mile and walking distance is a Publix Grocery Store, a Gas Station, an Applebee's, an IHOP and not to mention an on-site golf course that is always superbly maintained and only 9 miles from the entrance to Animal Kingdom.

We've rented in Lindfields numerous times. It's on 192 West but kind of at the far end of the tourist corridor so not so much hustle and bustle around there but you're very close to everything. It is a residential community so no clubhouse or resort amenities but if you get a nice house with a screened in pool, what more do you need?
