"Up and at 'em pal. Oh boy, are we glad you're here!"
Mickey woke us up at 5:30 A.M. on Monday. You've never seen 2 kids get out of bed so easily at that hour!! We had breakfast in our room and were at the bus stop by 6:45. Our streak of luck with the busses began today. Approx. 3 minutes after we got there, here comes a Magic Kingdom bus! We were there before rope drop and experienced the magic of the park as it opens. Being from California, it was kind of a weird feeling, since it's so similar to DisneyLand - yet different!
First and foremost, we went on BuzzLightyear, which we literally walked right into. We hit all the major rides, and by noon it was Mickey Bar time! Wow, those are good!
The crowd was getting pretty heavy, so we decided to leave around 2:00. We bummed around CBR for a while, had lunch at OPR, then headed to Downtown Disney. We waited all of 4 minutes for that bus!
We had a marvelous time at DisneyQuest. Even my wife got into all the video games, and it was a cool family experience to do the Virtual Pirates of the Caribbean 'ride'! If you go there, you gotta try the Cyber Space Mountain. WAY cool!!
My daughter got a certificate for winning the MightyDucks pinball game, and she thought that was the greatest thing in the world! (She's 8 and she kicked the pants off all those teenagers there!)
We shopped the marketplace a while, then back to CBR. After pizza and burgers at OPR, our first full day at WDW was complete. We're off to a great start! :
