Shoulder to Shoulder ?
Hi all going in August, and we are really concerned now about the numbers of people that are going to be there.
In fact DW is really stressing about it !
Any tips will be greatfully received.

Regards......Ted

We went last August and are going back again this August. The crowds were ok. Make sure you use Fast Pass and I would not go to Magic kingdom on a Saturday. That seems to be the worst time for that park. We went in MK and walked around for 1/2 hr and left. It was really crowded. Other than that it was a good trip. We will be there on the 14th of August.:sunny:

tci1212, We are there August 2nd so lets hope for a stress free.crowd free vacation

regards......Ted

We are also arriving on Aug. 14. Coming up fast now!
As long as you do a combination of early arrivals and Fast Passes you will be fine. We avoid MK and AK Early Mornings but we do go to Epcot and the Studios for the extra hour. Once the park starts getting crowded we head out and back to the hotel for a break. Then we hit another park later in the day. Just go with the flow and don't be concerned about the crowds (or the weather). Can't do anything about them anyway.
Also, take advantage of E-nights if there are any scheduled when you are there.

E-Ticket nights are offered to guests staying on property. You purchase a separate admission ticket for Magic Kingdom and get access to the "E-Ticket" rides (most of the biggies). You can learn more about E-Ticket nights here:

E-Ticket Info

We always try to do an E-Ticket night or two if they are offered. They are the best way to ride the attractions that you want to ride over and over. We have been allowed to just stay on several without getting off.

Have fun!!!!

hI, An E-ticket is after hours park admission. You get to stay longer on that day to ride SOME rides AFTER regular park hours. They do charge , but not sure how much.

Long ago, Magic Kingdom (and most amusement parks) required separate payment for each ride. At MK and Disneyland, your admission "ticket" was a booklet* with a selection of coupons labeled A through E where the E coupons were for the most spectacular rides.

It was about 1982, about when Epcot opened, that WDW changed to the gate admission only form of payment, known in the amusement industry as "pay one price".

*There was also a choice of "general" admission with no ride coupons, and extra coupons could be purchased separately at booths throughout the park.
