Snacks and Water Bottle policy at Seaworld and Busch Gardens?

How strict is the snack and water policy at BG and SW? BG website says no snacks but SW was not very clear to me. Is it okay to bring light snacks like jerky and granola bars with water bottles into either park? We always get our fill of junk food at theme parks but also get motion sick so I like having granola bars or pretzels in the bag to settle our stomachs!

I was only able to bring in water bottles when I went in December 2017. But I've heard others have been successful with bringing in coolers with lunches.

Wow! That's quite a difference in rules--does it just depend on who is at the gate that day for both parks?
