lol! It was quite a shock the first time it happened!!! I couldn't even get a picture it happened so fast!

I'm so excited. I hope to get one of the renovated rooms. I've been reading up on those. I go in Sept, then DL in Dec, then back to DW in April of next year. I can't wait. I've only ever stayed at pop onsite, but next year will be staying at Bay Lake Tower and POR.

Well, we have made it to the last day in my trip! That’s sad.

We woke up way earlier than the other days, and got ready to head off to the Magic Kingdom.

Once at the MK, we looked at the app and saw that Splash Mountain had a short wait… dad and I decided to go to ride, while mom went shopping in Frontierland.

As soon as we joined the line, the wait shot up to 60 minutes. Dad and I stuck it out and 45 minutes later we heard an announcement… “Attention Splash Mountain guests, due to an unforeseen maintenance issue we are shutting SM down and kindly ask for you to exit and enjoy the rest of your day.”

I’m sorry but what? People were in shock, and just kept standing there. Lol. Dad and I got out of line, and saw that people were in fact stuck on SM with no movement or water flowing what so ever!

The above pics were taken later in the day after people had been rescued off. They used a hook to pull the ride ‘logs’ towards walkways so that guests could hop off. I wish I would’ve been on one of those!! But, no such luck.​

Have you read the story that was published today where Splash was evacuated right before the drop...and this lady got out of her log when the CM walks away and takes her own route off! i couldn't believe it!

Glad you guys got to jump out of line!

P.s. I just realized in my last post that i said Garden Grill instead of California Grill..like an idiot. my apologies. lol

ugh, no comp fastpasses! It was just a "sorry, have a good day" type thing. At least we didn't wait tooooo long, so no big deal.
That is the sky writer that has been doing those messages for YEARS. It ended up saying Jesus.

Dad and I met back up with mom, and we all realized we were ready for an early lunch. We made our way to Columbia Harbor House for our last lunch of the trip…

I ordered my usual—the Chicken nuggets.

Dad ordered the lobster roll, and cobbler. I’ve never eaten a lobster roll, are they good? Has anyone had one from CHH??

Mom got the tuna sandwich.

After our lunch it was time for our fastpasses for Space Mountain, so we walked over to Tomorrowland.

The line for Space Mountain was crazyyyyy! We could really tell the New Years crowds were present at this point. Everything was packed!

After Space Mountain, we met back up with mom and decided to ride the TTA.

Pictures of the cabanas… located RIGHT next to the busy bathroom. Lol.

After the TTA, we all wanted ice cream so we went to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

Mom and I both got the no sugar added raspberry sorbet, which was delicious but very sweet!

We all settled into a table and ate our snacks, while people watching. It was SOOO busy at this point in MK.​

After our snack, dad and I went to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for our fastpasses.

Along the way we took pictures…

As you can see the area was QUITE busy!

While in line for BTMR, people were trying to figure out what the sky writer was writing. It was too funny. I should have recorded it. Seriously funny.

There wasn’t much for us to do until our next FP, so we all decided to do the Tiki Room…

Once out of the Tiki Room, we went to use our Jungle Cruise FP.

I wasn’t in the best location to take pictures of anything… as I was sitting on the steps. I seriously hate that seat, but somehow I always end up sitting there.

Mom’s feet were hurting, because of her shoes, so we walked over to Frontierland to take the train around MK.

A group of people got off of the train at Main Street, and decided to watch the parade.
