Porgy and Bess is another "lost film" I'd love to see. I think the rights are all tangled up or something like that.

I'm reasonably certain that the free availability is predicated upon being a cable subscriber with a subscription that already includes TCM. Why would any cable system or subscriber agree to pay for TCM again if they could simply go online and watch for free without having to pay for the subscription as part of the basic cable package?

Yep...just found it in the FAQ. I thought that might be the case but figured I'd check to see if there some type of alternative subscription or something. Nothing I can find...
