The ABC's of Sauntering Through WDW- J is for: Just Like That, It's Judiciously Ended! (4/23)

Oh, sure. Go ahead and say "I told you so."

I told you so.

You did see that coming, right?

What's HH?? :confused3

Happy Hour

You assume I wear some, Mrs. Commando?

Oh, nice and cool for wandering around AK.

I did... once.

Lucky duck! My first trip was too late.

Whoa! :worship:
I just edited my photo of Mt. Hood and... no where close to as good as this!

Aw, thanks! :) It was a crisp cool day and perfect for taking pix.

These two are gorgeous!

Thank you again. I really had a good guide who took us to the nicest spots.

So cool! I love the ice and moving water.

I've never gotten to do that type of photography before, so was especially thrilled.

I would have agreed with you until I made the horrible discover that they ruined this by putting dead grapes inside. :crazy2:

I don't think that'd ruin it for me. The price of the buffet did.

Not me, that's for sure! Alison probably did.

I'm not sure she did. :)

:rotfl2: I have learned "extra". My son goes around saying "Yeet", and I still have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

I just got a full minute long discourse on this term of excitement from my son. Basically, it's an exclamation of surprise or excitement. I had him give me an example and he said, "If someone is about to make a good shot in basketball, someone might shout out... "YEET!". It sounds like a type of Isreali soup to me.

:rotfl: Hey, it's the Scoliosis Tower!

:rotfl:

I like the ovens. Nice touch.

Same dudes, same fun.

I wonder how long it took you to explain to them what you were going for.

I spare no effort for my peeps and quality Trip Reporting.

(Too long)

No. I mean, no one wants to see that.

They might have 30 years ago.

Gorgeous! We did a similar hike through the snow in Flume Gorge in New Hampshire several years ago. Totally worth it to see a frozen waterfall!

It was the first time I've ever seen or done that. It was worth it, but HARD!

Another new fact! You're reports are so educational.

I love to learn new stuff like that and especially from the CMs around WS!

I have been schooled in EXTRA from my girls. I think you look adorable.

Fun to learn the latest slang; my daughter cringes every time I use it, and especially when I use it wrong.

Kinda dorky, but it was fun. :)

Yes it does. I got the enhanced Dole whip in AK. YUM!

Tasty!

Have you ever asked them to dress you in the Kimono? The girls have done this.

I didn't know they did this! I wonder if my girls would be interested in this in the Fall. :D

Very original!

Loved this updated, it's so fun.

It was a fun one to write as well!

Good to know! I'll be reading along.

I only have time to be on the DIS on weekends anymore, but I will get 'er done. LOL!

Fingers crossed she gets in.

On pins and needles!

I find the AC helps a lot with the hot flashes.

It sure does!

WOW! Every single picture is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome!

That looks yummy, now I'm even hungrier!

I hope you had some last week...??

Interesting. I realize different bottles are different shapes because the Syrahs and some Pinot Noirs don't fit in my regular section of my wine cabinet. They have to go on the top section.

Interesting. I found this website to explain some of that...

https://www.newair.com/blogs/learn/wine-bottle-shapes

You're not supposed to take pictures on Soarin'

:rotfl2:

oopsies.

#sorrynotsorry

I was unobtrusive. and no flashing.

Oh, come on! I want to see song pants!

I did! I did!! Singing leather pants!!

Glad you had some fun, but how can you have a BBQ with all that rain and snow

Oh we almost never get snow here on the Valley floor where I live. We have to drive about an hour to find it usually. I finally got my BBQ on my deck and will probably fire it up for the first time next weekend.

I completely forgot what we were talking about and I'm too lazy to look back.

Me too. LOL!

Beautiful pictures, but you lost me at 7 mile hike. I'll meet you guys back in town at the watering hole! I hope someone else is the designated driver! :lmao:

We did stop for both breakfast and dinner but no one drank. Er I take that back, one guy had one beer. It was flat and mostly on packed snow where skiers and snowmobiles had already gone, but every once in a while you'd hit a pocket and go in up to your mid-shin. That sucked.

Actually I did not know that the bottle was a "Bordeaux" bottle, as I said in my reply to Liesa, I just know that some bottles don't fit into the grid on my wine cabinet, so it must have been designed for Bordeaux bottles and not the others.

See link above.

I'm relying on all of you for these words. I don't have kids in my life, so I'm lost on all the slang!

Then you've come to the right place. I like to know them so I can mortify my kids when I talk to their friends.

I think they'd frown you on eating some without an ADR?

What they don't know won't hurt them.

Hey, I have to be thorough Trip Reporting, don't I? I go to great lengths to make this TR as boring as possible!

:lmao:

Sacré bleu! (Yes, I actually knew that one without looking it up. )

But is it an English saying?

NASA's entire fleet isn't that expensive.

::yes::

No, dork.

Naw.
;)

Close... sooooooooooo close. ;)

Yes. Always a thorough Trip Reporter.

I thought it was a cool sign.

It was. :)

Funnier that I don't think he meant it to be ironic. It was just an easy song to sing when put on the spot.

Oh! Even better!

Well, you wouldn't want to get any water in your mouth when skinny dipping, now. Would you?

Depends what I'm skinny dipping in.

I told you so.

You did see that coming, right?

Yep!!

Happy Hour

D'oh! :headache:

Then again, I don't go to bars, so...

Lucky duck! My first trip was too late.

It was memorable. They stopped the ride halfway through to let out a woman who was freaking out.

I've never gotten to do that type of photography before, so was especially thrilled.

Glad you got to do that.

I was unobtrusive. and no flashing.

Please tell me we're not talking about photography.

I hope you had some last week...??

Some being the key word. It wasn't quite what I expected.

I did! I did!! Singing leather pants!!

You got guys in pants to sing, I was to see the pants themselves sing. I suspect I might need some hallucenigenics to achieve that.

It was flat and mostly on packed snow where skiers and snowmobiles had already gone, but every once in a while you'd hit a pocket and go in up to your mid-shin. That sucked.

It could have been on a paved trail, I'm still not hiking 7 miles!

Then you've come to the right place. I like to know them so I can mortify my kids when I talk to their friends.

I can see where that would be fun!

Oh, so you're advocating for a dine and dash.

But is it an English saying?

Nope. I did find this though, and it was very interesting...

In historical France, Christians were worried about people taking their lord’s name in vain. So, they proposed all kinds of alternatives to saying such expressions as Mon Dieu! (“My God!”) like morbleu and parbleu and akin to English euphemisms like golly or gosh for God. Bleu, meaning “blue” in French, rhymes with Dieu, making it a handy way to avoid blasphemy.

One of these ways to avoid explicitly swearing was sacrebleu, typically written in French as one word and without an accent, sacrebleu is attested to as early as 1552, although it didn’t really catch on until the early 19th century. Sacré in French means “sacred,” so taken together sacrebleu, literally means “Holy blue!” instead of sacré Dieu (“Holy God!”)

Depends what I'm skinny dipping in.

I'd swim in the mushroom soup at the Territory Lounge.

D'oh! :headache:
Then again, I don't go to bars, so...

You're mostly missing out on $.50 tacos on Tuesdays. Cheap din-din.

It was memorable. They stopped the ride halfway through to let out a woman who was freaking out.

What to you think was the problem? Clastrophobia? Something else?

Please tell me we're not talking about photography.

You sound disappointed.

Oh! What DID you expect?

You got guys in pants to sing, I was to see the pants themselves sing. I suspect I might need some hallucenigenics to achieve that.

They don't sell those at Disney. Then again, I never thought I'd see alcohol at MK either. So there's that. On the other hand, who needs them when you've got Figment?

It could have been on a paved trail, I'm still not hiking 7 miles!

It reminded me of how terribly out of shape I'm in.

I can see where that would be fun!

I'll bring them here if I learn anymore. :)

Hmm, ideas...

I think they'd frown you on eating some without an ADR? Hey, I have to be thorough Trip Reporting, don't I? I go to great lengths to make this TR as boring as possible!
I think they'd be okay with you eating even without an ADR. I think they'd have a problem it you ate, but didn't pay.

:lmao:
Okay, that was good. Limericked the whole thing!
(And I used limerick as a verb, so there's that.)

Thievery! But rhyming is hard, so who can blame us?

Oh, so you're advocating for a dine and dash.

All is fair in love and strudel.

Sacré in French means “sacred,” so taken together sacrebleu, literally means “Holy blue!” instead of sacré Dieu (“Holy God!”)

This surprises me not in the least. Most of the French swears I know all involve religion or religious artifacts.

I'd swim in the mushroom soup at the Territory Lounge.

 I've heard you say that before.

You're mostly missing out on $.50 tacos on Tuesdays. Cheap din-din.

I'm okay with that. Not a taco fan. Too much trouble for too little reward.
When I make tacos... I make myself a taco salad.

What to you think was the problem? Clastrophobia? Something else?

Not positive. She was definitely freaking out, though. I got the impression she was just really believing that it was real on some level.

You sound disappointed.

100%!!

Yes, but on my next scavenger hunt I'd be able to use J is for Jail.

But then again, think how popular your TR would be! It worked for Riglee.

:lmao:
Okay, that was good. Limericked the whole thing!

Technically, she got three Xs. Dos equis is two Xs, so with the xylophone, that makes 3. Gives a different meaning to XXX.
:rotfl2:

Those might be my favorite scavenger hunt photos you've taken! So many creative choices with lovely shots. I especially liked the woodcarver and sombrero ones. Oh, and the yellow tights! Yep, too many great ones to choose from. :goodvibes

She went on to explain that it’s by the SHAPE of the bottle that you can tell it’s a Bordeaux wine!! Who knew?!
see, you learn something new every day! :)

I found Dory. I found Nemo too, but that wasn't nearly as fun as the PP lady who gushed over my Dory Bounding. :) And because it's Disney and I have no shame, I really hammed up and went extra for a few minutes
Disney bounding is the best!

Hot Air Hidden Mickey.
Love this!

Both were delicious and both were strong. I wasn't buzzed enough to feel the urge to buy $400 sweatshirts, but they were strong enough to make me want to be lazy in the shade for a while. Not always a bad thing in my humble opinion.
Ice cream cocktails......one from France? Where was the other one from? Feeling this is a must try for July!

KIMONOS!!! I asked these incredibly beautiful and graceful ladies if I could take their photo for Letter 'K'. Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like the CMs in the Japan Pavilion aren't quite as proficient with English as in many of the other Pavilions. So I think the excitement and explanation of my quest was lost on them a bit. Nevertheless, they did make for a lovely photo and I was thrilled!
Gorgeous!

So I found another one who did sang... wait for it... The Alphabet. How ironically perfect! :lmao:
Perfect!

Here are a few of the best outtakes from the day which included a 7 miles hike in the snow to Tumalo Falls. Enjoy!
Again, your talent! You have such an eye!

Q is for Queen (with a extra one thrown in for good measure)
Was this in the Norway pavilion?

T is for Topiary
I didn't realize they had topiaries at F&W as well.
