A Brit here looking for advice on changing airports enroute WDW from London.

AA have some good fares that involve tranferring JFK-LGA and vice versa.

Any comments on how easy this is to do with two young children (6 & 2) or would you go for a longer flight time (via Chicago)?

Thanks

Do you mean that you need to transfer from one airport to the other? Sorry, but this is just not clear to me.

It is a long and expense transfer. With out traffic it is a 30 minute ride, with traffic it could be a hour or more and will cost you at least 30 US dollars for a cab.
Try looking at jetblue from JFK to MCO , they are excellent. NOTE the terminals at JFK are free standing buildings and you will have hop on a shuttle bus to go from one terminal to another. What about flying into EWR or MIA?

It is 10 miles from LGA to JFK. By the time you get picked up at LGA and actually make the 10 mile trip and find your terminal at JFK it could possibly take 20 to 30 minutes, longer with traffic which can be bad. I don't know about an hour, but depending on time of day the traffic can be REAL bad. The NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission lists the sample fare from JFK to LGA as $19 - $22. You would need to add a tip. Time spent in traffic could raise the fare. $30 may be a bit on the high side.
