November 11
Wedding Dessert Party

At the end of the reception the DJ made an announcement for everyone to head outside to take the charter buses to our dessert party over in Epcot. We had Italy Isola reserved for our dessert party. I was so excited for this part, we had another surprise for all the guests.

Each charter bus holds 50 people so we had to get two to take everyone there. I was really excited to walk out and see the Disney Cruise Line buses. We always drive to the port and will probably never take Disney transportation there, so this was my own shot getting on this bus.

They drove us through the Cast Member entrance to go through the back. It was really cool seeing the behind the scenes stuff of each country. They would be dropping us off at the American Pavilion and then walk over to Italy.

And here's my surprise for the guests:

Our bus driver went too far and drove up on them unloading my Carriage. To end our night we were going to leave the dessert party in Cinderella's Carriage. I was the very first Disney Bride to get to ride in it during park hours and was beyond excited.

We had a huge area roped off for everyone, not included in the picture was the area to the left where a bunch of people went to stand along the fence to watch the fireworks later.

I tried to keep the costs down by only having two things offered at the dessert party. I also figured people wouldn't be that hungry after all the food they had at the reception. The food we offered: Doughnuts flambéed with cinnamon, sugar and fireball whiskey along with infused cherries cooked to order. Served with Vanilla bean ice cream. We also served Artisan cheeses with dried fruits, grapes, apples, fruit chutney, nuts, breads and crackers. The drinks available were lemonade, coffee and hot tea.

They had towers of cheeses set up. I had a few bites of the cheese and they were really good.

Another shot of the cheese. On the side you can see the chef flambéing the doughnuts.

Here's my doughnuts flambéed and ice cream. OMG. This was beyond delicious. I only ended up being able to eat half of one before we had to go take pictures and I am so sad I didn't eat an entire dozen they were that delicious. And mixed with the ice cream...yum!

A shot of our table. We got to enjoy the food and everyones company for a while before the fireworks started up. People were raving about the location and how amazing the view was of the fireworks. It was probably the coolest way for us to watch these fireworks and now that they are retiring the show the best way to see it for the last time.

I can't wait to see our firework pictures.

Once the fireworks ended it was time for our carriage ride. They asked if there was any country we would like to add pictures to tonight and we decided on Germany. Germany has a special place for us because every trip we go there and buy a little crystal. Before leaving for our trip we were told we couldn't take pictures in Germany for our portrait session day because of a wedding happening so it was great being able to add it in. The carriage ride was also starting in Germany so it worked out perfectly.

They had all our guests line up so our carriage could go through them.

It was the most amazing experience and I love that we were the very first to get to do this. When we first approached our guests I noticed random people had lined up next to them, I guess they knew something exciting was about to happen. And everyone cheered as we went by, we waved at everyone like we were royalty it was really fun. Once we went through our guests they were escorted back to the charter buses while we finished our ride. We took a private car back to our hotel at the end of the night.

Our photographer gave us this picture as a sneak preview when we saw them two days later for our portrait session. I love the colors and how magical this picture looks. I kept trying to get my husband to kiss me I knew the photographers were taking pictures and that would have been such a cute shot, but he was distracted by everything happening.

Our ride went across the bridge down to the UK and then turned around and went back to the American Pavilion. Everyone in the park was cheering and clapping as we went by. I saw so many people take pictures and videos, including Disney Cast Members who were working in the countries. It was probably most of their first time seeing the carriage and it felt really special.

Sadly our carriage ride came to an end and we were whisked off to the private car waiting for us in the backstage area. And just like that the wedding day was over. It went by so fast and everything was so perfect I couldn't ask for a better wedding day. The weather was amazing the entire weekend and I was so happy my face was hurting from smiling so much. I'm really happy I could share my day with all of you

Up next lunch at Coral Reef

I thought i was wowed before, but it just keeps on coming. The carriage through Epcot is just to die for!!! Are you sure they weren't recording your wedding for that Disney Wedding show because yours blows away the ones I've seen. I hope your guests appreciated how much time and effort (and I'm sure $$) you put into this.

What a remarkable wedding day! Everything looked perfect. Hopefully all of the wonderful memories will make the anxiety about late guests fade away. May your lives together be peaceful, happy, and content. What a beautiful foundation to build on in the years ahead. I bet it was an event your guests will never forget. Congratulations!!

I think the dessert party was my favorite parts of daughter's wedding, it's just so special and unique. People still talk about it 10 years later.
I'm sure your guests will do the same.
