what are chances of getting a campsite in Jan.

We just got a pop-up and were looking forward to spending the long MLK weekend in Jan. at Fort Wilderness, but there are no campsites available. Do you think there will be cancellations? What should my strategy be? Do a lot of snowbirds with RVs stay there?

The Rule of Thumb is to call Frequently. The more your call the better your chances of getting a cancellation. Also keep in mind the 5 day cxl policy. So the closer it gets to the date the better your chances.

While we were trying to get a site at Christmas, the CM told me to call at 7am EST. The computer cancels out ressies without deposits or payments automatically at midnight.
