Where did WDW place the concrete pillars of family pictures?

YES - see my last post of today 5-19-20 ....WDW Guest Services says they will be available for viewing at another location outside of the EPCOT entrance - sometime after construction !


I saw some pictures of the front of EPCOT with construction on the web
If looking at the front of EPCOT, to the right of the entrance to EPCOT, their is an open building with a purple wall or roof towards the back.

Is that where the concrete pillars of family pictures located ?

We would like to find our family picture when we return to WDW in May 2021

Am I wrong ?
Then where are the concrete pillars now ?

They are not currently displayed and no one knows for sure if/when the pictures might be visible again. The stone structures have been destroyed.

I sent WDW Guest Services a note - I asked:
"Dear Guest Services,
We had our family take pictures at the Leave a Legacy pavilion back in.....
I understand with the EPCOT construction, they have been moved.
Where are they moved to ?
Did you destroy the concrete pillars and just keep the pictures ?"

And I received back:
"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm currently researching your message.
I will be in touch as soon as I can.
I can be reached at ...........

"As part of the new Epcot entry experience, the Leave a Legacy photos will be moving into a beautiful setting just outside the park’s gateway. As work occurs on Epcot’s main entrance area, some of the Leave a Legacy photo will be temporarily unavailable to view until the new display is in place. The Leave a Legacy viewing will return when the new display is complete. Although we are still working on the details, please know there will be a process to find specific photo tiles once the Leave a Legacy location is updated."

We will be able to find our pictures next May 2021 !

All thats ever been said was that they will be redisplayed outside the parks entrance at some point in time. No idea where or when or if it will happen.
Good to see their message hasn't changed.

Outside is stupid.
if you enter from the back you would have to exit the park to see them then of course reenter.
other forms of arrival it seems would be a pain to go see them too

Yeah! I'll just have to use my own pictures for a year or two. It was called "Leave A Legacy".
