Where to stay

Considering a quick trip to Universal and Disney in November. We are thinking Cabana Cay for the lazy river or Portifino Bay. What does everyone think?

At Cabana Bay, you don't get the unlimited express passes included with your room. At Portofino, you do. If you are going during a busy time, you might prefer Portofino.

The budget is also very different!

You can pool hop as a guest so no reason to choose a hotel simply bc you want to try the pool. Yeah, it's more convenient if your hotel is right there but Express Passes would win out.

We loved the express passes but we have a budget that works better with Cabana Bay, I really am torn because I loved Royal Pacific. I do feel like Cabana Bay would be a down grade

Completely understand. Our first trip was to Cabana Bay. It was ok, but on the days we walked to SF for the ferry, it looked much nicer there. With no express pass, we pretty much had to get up early every day to avoid lines.

For our next trip in October, we're hoping for RP. We are currently booked SMSM at SF until we can get SMSM/APH rate at RP/PB/HRH. Can't quite justify an extra $150/day for express passes...

We LOVE Cabana Bay Beach Resort. This is one of our favorite hotels in Orlando, including the Disney ones. It is so much fun for the entire family! Here is one of our videos from our visit just a few weeks ago. WARNING: THERE ARE NO COCKROACHES! It was a prank on Hunter with our blow up inflatable cockroaches. WE LOVE this resort and no real cockroaches! This may help you see some of the room and the amazing lazy river!
