Which tour would you recommend for a 4 year old?

Hello,
My 4 year old nephew loves "swimming animals," as he calls them. I thought it might be nice to do one of those up close tours but not sure how interactive they are.

I've done the Killer Whales up close, and you get to interact with the whales (which is awesome!). I haven't done the dolphin tour yet, but I've heard good things about it

It depends on which kind of animals he likes the most.

We did the Dolphin Up-Close Tour a few years ago and loved it. In fact we're thinking of doing it again when we go this year we enjoyed it that much. I think it was around $45 for adults and $25 for kids.

That particular tour involved lots of interaction with the Dolphins as each group was split up into smaller groups and every group got their own Dolphin to interact with (touching and teaching hand signals to).

Originally, I was going to recommend the Beluga and Walrus Up-Close Tour but you have to be 8 years old and over for that tour. I've never done the Sharks Up-Close Tour but maybe he'd like that one?

Well I know he loves killer whales but I'm afraid once he actually sees how big they really are - he might not be so keen on the idea.

How far out did you guys book your tours?

What is the photo that you wont forget?? As its advertised.

What are his favourite animals?

In the Behind the Scenes tour, you get to pet a penguin and touch a shark. In the Wild Arctic tour, you interact with harbor seals, a beluga whale, and a walrus. You pet a dolphin in the Dolphin Encounter. I would say to pick the tour that has the animal that he would get the most thrill out of being close to.....all of the tours are wonderfully done and are super fun.

As to your question above....most (if not all) of the tours offer some great opportunities for unforgettable photos. Here are a few samples:

Normally, I book my tours as soon as the day I definitely know I want to do it becomes available in the booking system on the website but that's just me. I like to have everything organised well ahead and know we've definitely got a place on the day we want to do it but you don't always need to book it that far in advance. I've seen people booking tours on the day at guest services when we'e been checking-in for ours but then there's no guarantees that there'll be spots left on the more popular tours if you leave it that late. Maybe a couple of months before is the most I'd personally leave it.
