I wouldn’t give it a second thought. Nobody was wrong, it was just a miscommunication. They happen all the time.

I don't see how this could have been your fault. In fact, if this happened because someone called in sick today, calling yesterday to confirm your appointment would have made no difference. They would have confirmed your appointment yesterday but would then have to cancel today when the person called in sick.

Honestly, if you had an appointment and the gym as to cancel that is the gyms fault, not yours.

I do not call to confirm appointments. In fact, I get really irritated that my Peds office calls to confirm and requires you to call them back and confirm if you don't answer the phone. Seriously?! I made the appt. If I wasn't going to be there I would call to cancel. I should not have to call you back the day before and confirm that yes, I still plan to come in.
