New for 2007!! Looks like they've added a Friday morning race that appears to be a good one! Here are the details from disneyworldmarathon.com:

New in 2007: Disney's Family Fun Run 5K will take place at the Disney-MGM Studios. The race will be run on Friday, January 5 at 7:00 a.m. The Kids' Races will be run at a separate time and location as the Family Fun Run 5K. The Kids' Races will be run at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex on both Friday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Adults, teens, and tweens will enjoy a fun 5K that takes runners past several attractions at the Disney-MGM Studios including the Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show and the Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror. The course will take runners down New York Street, past the Sorceror's Hat, to an unforgettable finish where you can high-five your favorite Disney characters.
DATE AND TIME

Disney's Family Fun Run 5K will start at 7:00 a.m.on Friday, January 5, 2007.
ENTRY FEES

Before December 27, 2006: $25.00
December 27, 2006 - January 5, 2007: $30.00

Entry Fee Includes:

* Race Entry
* T-Shirt

All Finishers Receive:

* Special Medal

PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup for Disney's Family Fun Run 5K will take place at the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Expo during normal hours on Thursday, January 4. Packet Pickup will be available on race day from 6:00 - 6:45 a.m.

Thanks for the info!

DH will be excited. He's already signed up to do Goofy, but he insists that he wants to do the 5k also. Being on Friday would make that much more feasible.
