I did manage to see Zodiac at the movies. For all you detective fans it was really good. Not much vilence but lots of crime solving.

Hello Lil' Grumpy! I have done late seating on every cruise I have been on except one, and we all love it (and I have 5 kids!), in fact, we prefer it. I guess we like the fact that we can have more of the "day". What we do is stay in port longer or play ping pong longer, or whatever. If there is a show we wanted to see, that would be the start of our evening, otherwise it wasn't until 8:00 that we had any "commitments".

Also, the pool area would quickly clear out around 4:00, and it would be just us and a few other people, so that was nice too! It is more our pace, but I can understand why so many people are worried about it, as it seems so late!

Just go with the flow and you will be fine!

We have late seating, we always have, even with the kids. DH works until 7 pm most nights, so we're used to having dinner late.
As for the cruises, we like the extra time late seating gives us to be out on excursions and still get back and get ready for dinner.
As long as we don't linger over dinner for too long, we still get to the clubs in time for the fun...when they are playing a game or whatever...and usually call it a night by midnight.
I've also often wondered if the early seating feels rushed to be done and out the door so that the servers can get ready for the next round?
We've never felt pressured if we were in the midst of a good conversation and a cup of coffee or after dinner wine.

Thought I would share some pics fom the GC from a couple of years ago. We took a plane ride from Henderson airport and saw hoover dam and such. We landed on the west rim where we took a short bus ride. Last pic shows where people were standing. It's also where we had a homemade lunch with some Indians. It was really scary that there were no guard rails or such. It is an amazing experience !!

Yes to last night. Not yet this morning, haven't eaten breakfast yet.

5]. Whats' the most charming or thought provoking thing you have seen, witnessed or to have happened in the past 48 hours?
Sorry, but it's too early in the morning to really think about charming and thought provoking.

6]. If you could wake up tomorrow and relive any one day from your past... and relive it with possible changes ... but returning to the present would NOT change... what day would you like to relive? It's just pure fantasy.
Sorry, but I don't dwell on these things, I live for today and tomorrow, it's too early in the morning to really think about one day in my past.

Sorry, but it's too early in the morning to think of such things. Perhaps installing an automatic coffee pot next to my bed.

Okay, here goes...I love HEAT! Although I may only say that because we have had snow for pretty much the last 7 days straight and it is getting a little bit tiring!

I am not sure I have a hero...but, I do have a favorite villian, SCAR! Not sure why, but he is truly evil!!!!

TV show, Laverne and Shirley, I loved it! I love Lucy too.

I brushed, no floss last night, and I am still in bed this morning (I love my laptop), none of the kids are up yet, so I am trying to "ketchup" (see, I am learning!)

This is easy, it was the story about the Ring by one of our fellow DISers.

Wow, tough one here, but being that we are on a Disney forum, it might be the first time we went to Disney, my kids were 3,6,7, and 8. Wow, what a blast! AND, I don't think I would change a thing!

Change about my home, EASY, I make the finished basement, SOUNDPROOF!

The Tag Fairy likes to take funny quotes from a Disboard member's post and permanently attach that quote to that person's ID in the form of a "tag" line under that person's ID. The Tag's are in colored text. For example, notice under Jennifer Maine's ID it says:

"Loves to sing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm"
Knows the difference between Wind and a big ole fan ". Those were quotes that evidently the tag fairy found humorous and placed under Jennifer's ID. It's kind of a badge of honor to be "Tagged".

I'm a night owl, too, but I've done both late and early and I prefer early. Late dinner just seemed to make me sleepy and ready for bed. Plus, I didn't have room for my preferred cocktails. Basically, I prefer to stay out late, I like the night life, I like to boogie. Plus, my parents are on the cruise, too and my mom's diabetic. She has to eat on time and we figured that 6pm their time is like 9pm our time. That's already late for her, plus by time we get back, she'll be back on normal eating time. Or close enough. Course, dad wants to have room for the special buffets and snacks. Have to say that even with early seating, I never felt rushed for shore excursions (I just skipped dinner if it was something I really wanted to go to) and I never felt rushed to leave, either. There were several times we were the last ones out of the dining room. The rest of the room was reset except for our table.

But LOL.... I don't think I've said anything that humorous. Mine are somewhat unique as they are actually personal observations made by the tag fairy when we visited Pleasure Island together.

Sorry to interrupt the typical posting of blah blah blah, rugby, t-******, groundhogs, room assignements and when our website will be up... I just had to share this...

Sensing that I am a bit down today because of my Dad, my DH and DD just gave me my birthday present...deciding what our plans will be for vacation this summer. We were originally going to sail Carnival...NOT. DH took it upon himself (I am the compulsive planner, not he) and booked us on RCCL Explorer of the Seas!

It sails 6/9 and sails from Cape Liberty, NJ. NO AIRPORTS!!! I am not afraid to fly at all, I just hate the hassle!!! It will be great to wake up, hop in the car and in a couple of hours be on the ship! Ports are Kings Wharf, St Thomas, St Maarten and San Juan.

You may now return to our usual blah, blah, blah...

Live with excess heat, since that's what we do most of the time here. My preferred would be if there were just a nice ocean breeze added to it.
Last choice would be to ever go back to a place where it snows.

Wow, there have been a lot of favorites, but the only one I can think of that was a favorite in the past and that I could still watch today would be Little House on the Prairie

It used to be that I wanted another bedroom, but now that the kids are on their way out, I want to finish the last of the remodel. I want to add stone to the outside of the house....actually ON the house. Around the pillars, around the porch. The home is an older slump block and could use some fancying up.
