I do believe that exercise is the key.You are doing great!

First - IT POSTED IT POSTED!! :woohoo:

I have your scrapbook!! I LOVE Uma's dessert!! YUM!! :thumbsup2

going to try and work on it later today - but I'm liable to be napping most of the morning!!

You know, about the diet without exercise thing... My DH is of the opinion that exercise is not important to weight loss. In fact, he rationalizes his lack of exercise by saying that he "doesn't want to be this big" and a belief that exercise will keep his bulk and not reduce his weight. He cautioned me that I shouldn't exercise so much because I will remain "big".
:rotfl2: My husband also says that he won't exercise but he uses the excuse that he is so big that he would put too much stress on his knees and he will start to excercise once he's lost 10 pounds --- Well, he lost 15 already, and still hasn't hit the gym once.

We have been dieting about the same length of time and with roughly the same idea (calorie reduction) and same amt of lbs to lose (65-75), since Feb or so with a 2 week WDW break in May, and some cheat days here and there. He has a semi-active job, doesn't exercise, and has lost about 20-25 lbs, and I have a sedentary job and have become a gym rat and have lost 40... so he looks at me the other day and goes wow you are a lot smaller, hmm, maybe exercise DOES help!
Great job both of you!!:woohoo:

GOOD MORNING, BALTIMORE! EVERY DAY'S LIKE AN OPEN DOOR...

OK...maybe I should take the Hairspray soundtrack out of the CD player.

I paid off the Disney trip yesterday....with the Disney Visa. Does that count? 46 days, baybee!!!

Last night was girlfriend's night out. Always a fun time!

LYNDA....Why did the novicaine shot hurt so much??? That's so weird. If a doctor gives me a choice of stitches or no stitches.....I'd choose NO stitches. You're a brave girl!

KAT & AMY....You're so right! Exercise is the key. I can't wait to start again next week when school starts!!! I haven't gained weight this summer but I don't feel as lean....a lot squishier in fact....does that make sense?

SANDY
.....When you find the job that God intends for you, you will get it! Now stop worrying!? You're beautiful, sweet, smart, and funny and any kid would be lucky to have you for a teacher!

CHRISTINE
....Love the shirts! :thumbsup2

WENDY....Good job on the treadmill!

EVERYBODY!!! :wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

by the way, for those that have mentioned things about the new DDP stuff, i downloaded the new brochure and read it while i was eating dinner. two things i noticed that i've read differently on the DIS:

1. you do get a drink with your quick service meal. i was thinking that would stink if you didn't. what a pain to have to dig out a few bucks just to get a coke when the rest of it goes on your DDP card! i'm glad that was misprinted somewhere and not really true!

2. gratuitiy is still included on pizza delivery, private in-room dining, the dinner shows (hoop dee do, backyard BBQ, spirit of aloha) and the three meals offered at cinderella's royal table (dreams come true dinner, fairytale lunch and once upon a time breakfast).

just thought i'd clear that up. here's the link to the new brochure if anyone wants to see it. i'm guessing they have a separate one for the deluxe plan because this one doesn't mention the deluxe DDP at all.

http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...agespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/08Dining.pdf

also, did i read correctly on the DIS that the cost for the basic DDP is now $36.99 per person rather than $37.99?

This is what concerns me with the plan. With so much more limited choices of places to eat, it's going to be super hard to get your reservations. You are going to have to make dinning reservations before you can even book your Trip.:rotfl:
Seriously, is it going to be worth it if you can't eat where you want? They should drop the price with all the changes. I don't thing they dropped it enough if they are taking out tipping.

ARIES: Loved the shirts. They turned out great. I made some back in Nov. for our trip. The kids love to just wear them. No one else has one like theirs.

Lynda: Your injury stories make for some great reading. I tell you.........hope you are feeling better.

Maybe you should start a hurt report thread. Just kidding!

The exercise IS important. We weren't created to be sedentary. It makes you feel good and it's sooooooo good for your body. Keep it up. I bet you look awesome!

Storms are finally passing by - what loud thunder boomers we had!! I've been up since 3 am!!

Make it a GREAT DAY!! The CHOICE is up to YOU!! Chose GREATNESS!!

Maybe that's why the skies look so ugly today. Thanks for the warning cause the weather guy didn't tell me about those yesterday.

Happy Tuesday everyone. :hippie:

Jodi-I see you are going to Salem! My cousin and his family lives there..it's a great little town!! :goodvibes

I guess I am not upset with the DDP changes except for the tip clause. We eat at buffets mainly so tip isn't a huge issue. All of our favorite TS are still listed. I still think it's a great deal and I think next Xmas we will be doing the Deluxe plan. :confused3

GOOOOOD morning Peepers and Peepettes!
ITs a MUGGY MUGGY one here in MA...i hope the A/C here at work stays workin or i will be a melting peep!

I say it counts! ;) :woohoo: on 46 days! I CAN'T WAIT!

I think it hurt because of where it was being given. I wasn't looking, but obviously it was close to the cut, and I am guessing perhaps it was a little TOO close for comfort. Not to mention it's just a sensitive area. It is still bleeding a little bit each day even WITH the stitches, so I think I made the right choice. If I didn't have the stitches, I'd be oozing all over the place. I just don't think the cut would stay together without the stitches.

I can certainly understand why Disney would want to take out the tipping, but why not lower the price more? And I have yet to see which restaurants have been eliminated, but I am concerned about what they might be. We are DVC and have the DDE discount card, so we need to be sure DDP is a good deal for us before deciding to go with it next May.

 Well, thanks! The toe is feeling a bit better today. I wrapped it a little less bulkily. (Not sure that is a word.) My arm is still sore from the tetanus. I would have thought that would be gone by now. Maybe it will be by the end of the day.

Kat GREAT post!! Thank you for sharing your experience - WTG on the loss!! :woohoo: what a loser!!

Thanks everyone!! And yes, the exercise does make you feel better. It definitely sucks sometimes.

Thanks! Hehe... mine uses the, I will have a heart attack if I jump into exercising excuse... or when I get to X weight I will start... I am like just admit you don't want to!!

I think that deprivation leads to binging... eating a bite or so of something you are craving, or just deciding that today you are going to devote a certain amt of calories to something, is a great thing!

Hope everyone has a great and skinny day!

Since subscribing to the Peeps thread last week, I got a great start on exercising and eating right. :thumbsup2 You guys are awesome for motivation and support!

Then, Friday, I came down with a horrible cold. (The dangers of working closely with kiddos!) So that derailed my exercise plans!

On the positive side, I have not had an appetite since I got the cold, so I haven't been eating much. I am feeling better now and I think I will return to the gym tomorrow.

Thanks so much, everyone, for the motivation I needed to get myself started. :flower3: This thread is exactly what I needed!

i agree, this thread is fabulous!!!

Well my first day back on plan and I did ok! I am doing ww points. I only went over by a few points (if only I could have resisted a small rum and coke last evening!). I didn't bring myself to exercise but hopefully can start to incorporate that as well.

This thread is so fun and I am enjoying reading everyone's post. I am also a BB fan and love that some of you have been watching that as well. My husband hates reality TV so he doesn't understand.

My girls are 4, 9, 9, 10 and just turned 14 this weekend. Before you ask - no twins. Three of my girls are adopted so we just happen to have a couple the same age. In fact, the three middle girls are all born within a year (to the day) period of time.

Does anyone have any experience renting DVC points? I am taking my 14 y/o to WDW for a surprise trip the end of Sept. and just rented points from a member this morning. I'm a bit nervous but I have a pretty good feeling about the transaction. We were able to go from ASMov to OKW studio for just $60 more. I think I'll really enjoy having more space and the fridge/micro.

Today school offically started. Was going to post before going to work, but oldest DS set his alarm for the loudest setting ang then could not turn it off :headache: so he woke up Joshua--our day began with everyone awake at 5:30. I was hoping for a least 30 min. of no one bothering me after my shower, but nope didn't happen. DH took DD to school--she usually would ride a shuttle bus between my school and hers, but she is now at a new school and there is not one yet. ANyway he has never done the early morning thing--he left he house at 6:50 and with the way traffic was he did not get her there until 7:25--it should have only taken 10 minutes max. THen he had to take youngest DS to daycare and had to fight all the traffic leacivng the school--his roundtrip should have only taken 30 minutes b/c it is basically like a 5 mile circle and it took him one hour to get where he needed to go. Hopefully this will all get better--Our school starts at 8:15 and the last bus did not show up until after 9:00. I just pray they are here when school lets out at 3:20 :thumbsup2

I go back to the Dr. on Thurs. and hopefully we can decide when to have this baby. I know that he is working the weekend that we want to induce so that is a good thing.

Hope all is going well with everyone. Have a great day---Oh, yeah the heat index here has been around 105 for the past week and will continue--nothing like the humidity  Drink all your water.

Very hot here today, too (I believe we're hitting close to 100 in Bal'mer today).

My husband started exercising a few weeks ago -- but he only did it because his pants were getting too tight! :rotfl: He really is not a fan of the healthy eating. Would rather eat whatever he wants (wouldn't we all) and has noticed it starting to catch up with him. So he's started walking in the evenings -- he's usually waiting on the porch, ready to go, when I get home from aerobics.

We're still doing good this week with the food -- I ended up with about 1480 cals yesterday. Had really yummy spaghetti last night, made with turkey meatballs. Last ditch effort before we leave on vacation next Friday -- it would be good to leave a few lbs lighter to make up for the upcoming dining plan! ;)

Hope you're all feeling good today!!! :flower3:

Weather here in Buffalo is rainy and warm. Of course i don't have an umbrella or jacket, sio I guess I'll be getting wet when I leave. :confused3 Oh well!

I have gone back to doing Turbo Jam and it is killing me! I am sore and run out of energy quicker than I'd like. However, I always feel good afterwards! So, I'll keep it up! Yes, I know exercise is worth it in the end!

Yikes! Stay out of the heat woman!

When do you want to have the baby?

hey peepers

The books went out today. DH forgot to take them yesterday.:sad2:

We are wanting to induce on September 30th. That would put me at 38 weeks and 2 days. We will see. I am miserable at the moment just from the heat. I have bus duty this afternoon---can you imagine the heat on black asphalt :rolleyes1 I will take a cold water bottle out with me.

School news---it is 3:15 and my DD school was supposed to let out at 2:10--she still has not made it off the bus--she is the first stop. So as of right now we are 45 minutes behind on getting the buses to my school. We are supposed to dismiss at 3:20---that will not be happening :headache:
