Growing up fast, Andy!! And so pretty.


Once again, I'm behind and it will take me forever to ketchup. But at least the excuse I have is GOOD for a change. Been busy with therapy, for one thing...and it's going well. She'll have me whipped into shape in no time!!



And I've been able to get out more, as long as someone else drives...so that's been nice. The weather is perfect right now for a ride in the car.

Will check back in, after I get all caught up.

Recovery has been worse then I ever thought it would be. Some things I wasn't prepared for............5 % of people who have this done have some things happen afterwards and well I was one of the lucky 5 %. It's really awful to tell and trust me you don't want to know. Couple of days after operation I developed a cold. Still trying to get rid of it !!!

It was nice to have my Mom here for a week. I missed my DD homecoming. My Mom took plenty of pics though. Here is one and while she was here she made Dante a sweater coat. He loves it !!

Sounds like you & I could have used a private suite somewhere...like maybe on a cruise ship....with our own personal nurses and assistants...to aid us in our recovery.

Sorry it didn't go quite according to plan...mine didn't either, so I truly know how upsetting that is. Hang in there!!

Onboard credits cannot be carried over or used as a deposit on another cruise. That's one reason I don't like to prepay for gratuities, I want to use the onboard credits for that.

everybody - just ducking in to say hi and wondering if I can ask for some help from all you lovable and creative people out there. Turns out I will be hosting a Baby Shower on the 27th. Its kinda late minute. Anyway, we decided to turn it into a baby shower/costume party/poker night.

DD had the idea to line the walkway with baby pumpkins in diapers and to do a spider web full of baby neccesities like a bottle, rattle and things like that but since mom is not too keen on a full out Halloween theme - I thought that if anyone had any ideas I can pitch at her last minute - I am trying to eliminate the triple decorating from cutsie baby shower pastel color to a happy medium. (SSHHH! I am now starting to believe that pregnant women are almost impossible to make happy - are all soon to deliver moms this cranky? NOTE: Answer at your own risk! )

Anyway, I have decorated a big baby bottle full of Halloween candy corn and for favors bought some baby rattle sand filled them up with Halloween mini-M&M's but how 'bout it folks and artists out there - any other creative ideas I can spring on her?

Just thought I'd open another forum as if we needed it right? LOL - on that note - don't forget that as of Sunday, 10/21 we have have just under 65 days to Xmas - another present off my list - I'm like the turtle - slow but steady but the best part? I'm paying cash! Woo Hoo DH will love me - at least until December comes around and I still have about 10 more presents to go not counting his of course. Oh well, I had all the best intentions right?

Totally missed the scavenger hunt yesterday. I was watching my children being tortured for almost 2 hours instead

They started their black belt testing in Tae Kwon Do. Part one was yesterday. They had to do multiple sets (thousands !!) of kicks and punches with very little rest. Also sparring and calisthenics. It was horrible to watch My daughter sent me one of her "boo boo" looks and I almost lost it Everyone testing was totally drenched in sweat by the first hour and there are the loving parents video taping it all .
DH and I of course forgot to bring cameras so the only picture I have of them is on my DH's cell phone. I'll try to load it up tomorrow.

I have never seen my kids work so hard for something before, ever. I was so proud of them Of course the testing started a little after 6 pm and went until 8 pm. They only had a snack before the testing and were starving by the time they were finished. If I had known how hard it was going to be I would have made sure that they ate something more substantial

My DD assures me that I would have only humilated them if I had gone in and yanked them out of the testing

They both slept in late this morning, but are otherwise fine

If we have anything left, it will go towards the gratuities. But I doubt I'll have to worry about that, between excursions, Shutter's, and the bar bills, there won't be any left anyway!

I bought myself a Christmas present. I pre-ordered this DVD about Disneyland. I have the one that came out a few years ago, and thought this would be good to add to the collection.

For some reason - I find this totally hilarious - mine (DH that is) just follows me and takes them away immediately when I turn my head!

Awesome - your going to love it! I just yesterday watched my BlueCrane Introduction to the Canon 30D video that I bought from a going out of business store for the 30D - its awesome - I was supposed to be attempting to watch the video for the Canon Speedlite 580/430 EX video which I also got but was sidetracked with the DIS. Realized it had been some time since I'd been on - and now I am in a discussion of my favorite subject other than DCL - cameras. Shhhh? Do you think Capt Crash might make an appearance soon? Or Roger? They seem to know so much more than I do - I feel like a newbie. Which I do consider myself. Oh well, when I grow up I want to be a camera fanatic.

Yeah I'm afraid we may have to take out a personal loan what with all the photo ops from Shutters. But we should have plenty of memory chips for the cameras. I've been debating on whether to take the laptop or just getting that Sony DVD burner with camera chip slots. http://Sony.com/dvdirect
Either way, we can then offload the raw photos to disc so we won't need 10 chips per camera and instead only have 3 or 4.
