DDA Chapter 3

Chuck just reminded me that we don't live in a warm climate which would be one of the reasons I don't need as many shorts as Elizabeth. Though, I don't think I have but 15-20 pairs of pants/jeans either. :lmao: Elizabeth, not only do you pack too much but you have too much! :rotfl:

Poor Terra  and yes the price of drugs is ridiculous. :sad2:

Good afternoon! Well, an ear infection it is. After 20 minutes on hold, I got through and was told to bring her in as soon as we could get there. The office was CRAZY and we waited for however long Aladdin takes to go from the part where he finds the Genie until 3 minutes after it was over, then it was another 15-20 in the exam room. After 5 min with the doctor we left with a diagnosis of left ear infection and a scrip for some antibotic. Well, went to pick that up an hour ago and lo and behold it was $70 for the generic. Umm, I don't have that! He was going to give her amoxicillan (aka free or $4), but we asked if there was something else due to a flavor issue. He said sure, but I had no idea it was going to increase the price that much. Now, I'm just waiting for him to phone in the amoxicillian so that we can get it started. Yikes it has been a day!

I have thought about owner's locker a lot. I think it's a great idea.

Did you talk to your Mom about doing a breakfast in May? I should be germ free by then.:rotfl:

I haven't talked to her yet, but she'll go where I tell her! :rotfl: :rotfl: (Actually, as I was telling Marci and Elizabeth at lunch, I hope I can get her to relax some this trip - the last trip we did together in 8/05, she wanted to go commando the whole time, while I just wanted to enjoy the GF!)

I'm actually beginning the rearrange our schedule right now, and see what restaurants I'm going to change to. You guys arrive late on the 4th, right? So we're talking about b-fast on the 5th? A late-ish one at the Donald's Safari Breakfast?

I just counted my shorts. It was bothering me. I actually have more than 32 pairs so I wouldn't HAVE to do laundry if I didn't want to. But I like some of my shorts better than others and I definitely don't have 32 pairs that I really, really like. Hmm. Laundry or shopping? Tough call.

OMG - I cannot believe you have 32 pair of shorts - and that you're actually thinking of packing them all! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Chuck! Come to the dark side! Bring ALLLLL of your luggage! Join me in the bliss of overpacking!

Vicki, did you tell him the owner's locker thing is going to be cheaper than the Suburban I am going to have to buy to take my luggage to the airport?;)

:lmao: :lmao:

I already mail a bunch of stuff that I would keep in my "Disney" box-misting fans, beach balls, pop up hamper, laundry detergent, ..... I don't do DVC so I don't want to be tied down to having to laundry at the end of my trip for stuff like PJ's, towels, sheets....but if I had DVC I would have probably already have done it.

Ooo, yes, the misting fan is a good one! I've always thought of buying one, but never wanted to be saddled with getting them back and forth. We also have those Brita water bottles, but have only taken those with us twice because they're so bulky. Those and all the filters will take permanent residence there!

As well as detergent, coffee filters, medicine, bandaids, moleskin, koozies, etc., etc. I probably need to start making a list, as I plan on stocking it in May!

Well, I'm glad you guys got a diagnosis, Tia, and hope the new scrip works out. I think I would have balked at $70 for a generic, too - that's just crazy! Lots of :wizard: :wizard: that Terra gets to feeling better.

Yes, I told him. You are too funny! Chuck asked why you can't do laundry? I told him we are talking about Elizabeth! :lmao: Just teasing.

What's a koozie?

yeah it was fun. at the end they were handing out cookie cake. i was so ready for a piece until desi said karen is a sweet and you gave those up:furious: . when we got home her son was playing with my mickey head band and got his finger stuck in the ear. had to use soap to get it out.

Insulated sleeve for canned sodas, beers, etc. I prefer my sodas out of a can when possible, and it would be nice to have one at WDW! We'll probably also throw one made for beer bottles in there for Jonathan!

Debbie, your SIL and family are in my prayers. I hope that they find a resolution that they can afford.

That doesn't sound fun! Glad you were able to get the more reasonalbly priced antibiotic. Hope Terra takes it OK. Hope she gets relief fast!

Yes-we arrive the 4th so breakfast on the 5th-Tusker House or Cape May if that fits your revised schedule better. When do you go home? I could try to add you to my CP breakfast on the 6th with Janet.

Kristine, I hope that you guys enjoy your time at Disney. It is probably a good thing to go. I'm happy to hear that it sounds like the health scare is at an end anyway. You guys continue to be in my prayers.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Sorry about the cookie cake. It is always hard when you are trying to be healthier.

:scared1: I have 4 that fit but the zipper broke on one. I have to see if I can find the receipt because I hadn't worn them that much for that to happen.

Tia, I'm glad that you were able to get a more cost-effective solution for Terra. I hope that it clears up quickly so that she doesn't have to have the "yucky" meds for too long. Don't you love what we do for our kids?

Jen, I loved the blog and info on the "twins". I'm so excited for you two. Continue to demand the care you need and deserve! You are your best advocate. I can't wait to hear about the sex of our two new DDA babies when you are ready to tell us. :cloud9:

I just spoke to my sister-she invited us to a birthday party at ChuckECheese. We've never been to one. The kids should have fun.

She told me I sound so old.

Joe's got the cold now too and had the hives this afternoon. He hadn't eaten anything he hadn't had before so I think it must have been a viral thing. We gave him some Benedryl and it cleared up really quickly. He's cranky though-he must not feel well.

Chuck is driving me crazy. He is watching Lost on his computer catching up on the epsiodes that he missed. However, what he really wants is some personal attention from me. He keeps looking over at me and blowing kisses.

I have had a raging headache most of the day. I've only had one pepsi (which still isn't all the way gone). I have taken several tylenol. I took a 3-hour nap. It still didn't go away. It is finally starting to get better.

Becky woke up this morning at 5am and came to get us because she felt so bad. I got up with her to get her some meds and see if I could help her get back to sleep sometime after 6. I had big plans for the day but with being up so early, I was exhausted and went back to bed until 10am. So my Saturday has not been as productive as I'd hoped. I have gotten my suitcase up so that I can start packing. We leave in 20 days. The girls want custom shirts for at least one day but haven't picked out a design yet.

I want to do autograph pages but haven't decided what yet. I'm thinking that I want to do just 4x6 blank white pages. I can then make custom designs and photocopy the autographs on the pages for our scrapbooks.
