Can I crash the DIS brunch the 23rd? We have 11 am booked. DH was not a fan the last time, I made the res. this late in the cruise thinking he might be tired enough of the other food to just go have pizza and a nice lunch. Like we'll need any more food after two weeks on the ship...

All the kids are in full protection gear, helmet, neck brace, chest protector and race suit with gloves and hightop shoes. We have spent more in protection gear (which we just replaced this year in full, because he grew between 5-8) than we did for his kart. This new series that he races in this year required a better helmet than his local track, so we now have 2 helmets. Better to be safe.

I haven't tried to match my bra and panties..in a long time. It's expensive and wasteful. No one is looking...

To be perfectly honest, the above post does not make me feel all that good as well.

We have all invested hours and hours into this cruise and have exchanged a lot of information that has assisted others in getting the most out of this cruise (shipping packages to the ship, all the meets arranged for on board, booking Palo etc) and knowing when there were staterooms available and for what price.

There have been a few posts in the 11 parts of this thread that have caused me to wonder....'Why did that person post that'...but I have never seen a post that caused several of our number to apologize for an alleged slight of another member.

We are all on here to help one another

I guess that when I'm feeling bad about something you would suggest that I not say anything. Sorry that's not me. I didn't mean to offend anyone by speaking my mind, if I did I'm sorry. I've reached those that commented back to me on this issue. I wish you would have done the same to explain to me on what you are offended about me posting my feelings. I guess that wasn't the way you chose to communicate this and in that vain we all have our own way and style.

Ken & Tammy, I'll make a point of looking at my reservation tomorrow to confirm that actual price first price I got and we can make absolutely sure that it was accurate that it's running close to the same now as it was back in Jan '07.

I think it sucks that DCL offered such a nice incentive to lower cats to book early and cat 4 didn't have them and if they did I wonder what I did wrong not to enjpy them

I've been on this thread from the begining and I've seen a number of people disagree on issues and discuss them to come to a better understanding on all sides. I think that is what makes it a good thread.

When I called for my room ressie they also had one that went for our time, so I will call again and see!

Let us know if they do have some special going for when we are there. That would be a good thing.

Ok, now for some freaky news...for me...

My dd has severe allergies to 2 nuts..needs epi pen just in case. I called the doc last week to get a new presc. as they expire yearly. They escripted it to the pharm. I go to pick it up and they say my health insurance doesn't cover it! Healthnet...what the F***
It's a life threatning allergy and they don't cover anymore....
So I call healthnet, who informs me that they no longer fill at pharm. you have to have the doctor request the prescrip.through the ins. and then they will SEND it to the doc. It could take up to 4 weeks to fill...OMG. I called the doc freaking out and they said they will try to have it for me by next fri. as taylor has an overnight fieldtrip with school. If she doesn't have the epipen they won't let her go!...AND I WORK THERE!...geez
I am going to call the allergist tomorrow and see if they keep samples there? Anyone think I have hope on that?

Oh my gosh, that's absolutely insane! What the heck?! Hopefully the allergist can help you out. That's crappy.

Just a quick update on my brother . . .

He was supposed to have a CT scan today, but they pumped him so full of fluids to keep up his BP, that he is too big for the machine. For now the surgeon has decided that wait and see is the best thing to do. Still in ICU, still on a ventilator, but his vital signs seem to continue to improve.

I spent a couple of hours in his room reading tonight.

As someone said, where there is life, there is hope.

Came from the Geek thread 2 years ago. A DISer was talking about getting ready for a yard sale and said she and her DH were "pricing" all night......went from there and pricing became a code word for making a little souvineer. V must have just forgot which thread she was posting on so she did not explain. Another V-ism.

Did I miss anything else??? I know we got all our Palo meals, which is great! I'm so excited about not stressing on getting a reservation. Can anyone tell me what the group area is like? Is it in a separate room? Will we all have one waiter? Does anyone else besides my DH not drink on our day (23rd) so I can have their champange?? Afterall, not pregnant!! And I DON'T think I will be checking any more tests until after 5/25!

Yes, you will have one waiter. Yes it is a separate room. The table usually is five on each side and two at the head and foot. Race into the room ahead of everyone in your group to get the seats looking OUT the window....hehehe

Is anyone that's going to the DIS meet on saturday planning on spending the night? I just got the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim for 45.00 at priceline. Just wanted to pass this on to anyone who is looking.

Oh man! I was just looking at expedia today. Did you have to 'bid' for it...and did you bid on that hotel specifically? (Haven't used Priceline...not sure how it works.)

$45 I CAN AFFORD....all by my onesies as Capt Jack would say!
