Well I just felt something I never thought I would feel in my entire life. An earthquake! The house shook for about 20 seconds. It also woke up DH and one of DDs. I thought maybe something blew up. After about 20 minutes I had to come downstairs and turn on the TV to see...OMG...it was an earthquake all the way up in Illinois! I am in Nashville. Hope everyone closer to the epicenter is okay.

I'm in St. Louis and felt it too. I was already awake, but it woke dh up. I thought it was the wind at first because the windows were rattling, but then my desk and chair started to shake too. Very freaky.

Wow. I just saw this on the news. I woke up at 5:45 - 9 minutes too late. They said on the news that some people felt it here (Lexington, Kentucky) and called the fire department to check on things.

We're in Cincinnati and I heard some crashes in the house. I still need to check to see if anything broke. Very weird!

Woke us up at the same time....jumped right out of bed!

Some structural damage downtown...Louisville, Ky.:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Hope you all are fine and no damage

I didn't feel anything here where I live though the new station are all a buz with people all around me feeling the quake.

Yep. Woke up the entire family here in St. Louis. Apparently it was centered about 120 miles east of here in Illinios; right near the Indiana border just north of Evansville, IN. Preliminary reports have it at 5.4 on the Richter Scale. The weird thing for us is that this one isn't even on the New Madrid Fault, which always is the big worry here re: earthquakes.

We felt it NW of Indianapolis....we had just woke up and a couple of minutes later (about 5:38 or so) it started and lasted about 10-15 seconds.

Be safe everybody, I will be praying for you and your loved ones.

It woke me up too.......Elizabethtown area.
My bed was shaking from side to side!
No damage that I have found.............

My college, graduated last year, which is about 45 minutes west of Indianapolis got shook up really badly according to my sorority sisters. They were hearing reports that the skyscrapers in Indy were swaying.

I believe that today is the 102nd ann. of the big earthquake and fire in california, happened at 5:12 am then.

Scary!!
