Mindy - Sorry to hear about the crime! Sadly, we have tons of it here. It is really my only complaint about living here (too bad it's a big one...)

Not much going on here. We went to the Race for the Cure this morning and have a birthday party this afternoon and a date night tonight. Wait - did I say there wasn't much going on? Sigh - I'm worn out already!

I don't think we have to worry about getting to page 250 by Monday....I think we will hit it by Mid-Sunday...Anyone else want to guess when we will be onto Part III?

Hmm... this is where it will get interesting...I'm Shelly too! You can all me Shelly D, the first letter of my last name, and the name I was called all through grade school. Oh boy that brings back memories of a not so pleasant time in a Parochial school.


Not too much going on here. My mom wants to go shopping for a little bit this morning then back here to build some new patio cover thingy.

Hello Disney Addicts!
My name is Karen and this board is feeding my addiction bigtime. I have become totally obsessed with planning our trip while keeping it a secret from the kids (DD 9 and DS5). We leave Thu 1/22 and are staying CL at AKL through 1/26. I originally thought we wouldn't arrive until late in the day but DH says lets let the kids skip on Thursday (they have that Friday and Monday off for some strange reason) so we can leave early! Now I am trying to plan our days. I am also a January code watcher. I have been staying up late reading the Unofficial Guide. Wow, is that book full of details. There are so many choices in so little time, but I guess we'll have to save some things for our next trip. I'll have to tear myself away from planning for a little while this weekend. DD has soccer this afternoon and we are trying to get to some projects around our house (we moved in about 4 months ago and still need to hang some blinds, etc.) Our neighborhood is having a Halloween party tomorrow and I am in charge of the Costume Parade. Just got back from an Estate sale. I scored 3 Disney CD's for $3 each....Classic Disney Volume 1 & 2 and also Disney Princess Collection. (although I think we might have this one already, but for $3 I couldn't resist)! I'm off to clean my kitchen before my DH comes home from work as well and finds an unproductive Saturday that I had!

Okay, will, I've made my flight ressies for the trip to be with my mom. I'll be making this trip solo....DH was going to go, but we ran into the difficulty of finding someone to stay with DS, since he's in school. With the risks involved with this surgery and her age, I just felt in my heart one of us should be there with her.

I'll be leaving EARLY Monday morning and returning Thursday evening. Her surgery is Tuesday. I'm sure I'll have a lot to catch up on these boards by then, and I'll be ready for a break!!!

Of course, now I need to go into work tomorrow to get something done that I needed to do first thing Monday morning, but that's okay.

It's a rainy day here, too, so we've spent the morning painting. Not one of my favorite activities, but necessary. Plus, I'm such a MESSY painter!

Well the rain has stopped for the moment. . . Will probably start again soon. Even if it isn't raining for trick or treat it is still going to be damp and cold and nasty. The extended forecast is calling for flurries on Tuesday.

Someone asked the other day if Power Rangers were still in right now. Well we just watched an episode of Power Rangers-Jungle Fury at noon on ABC, so I guess so!

Does anyone know where exactly Cooke's of Dublin is? I am looking at my DTD map and it is pretty recent (May) and Cooke's isn't even on it. Raglan Road is. Is it just right next to Raglan? Inside of it? Attached to it? Upstairs? Downstairs?

I went to the movies with my girlfriends last night and came home to roses and the sweetest card ever. I'm just waking up and it's noon. He let me sleep in today. The first time since DD (1 1/2) was born.

Now that I'm all caught up on my morning reading...
Had to go with the DD7 and her brownie troop today to a pumpkin patch/hayride event. Windy and cold, and wouldn't you know, the sun came out as we were getting finished!
I've been out pulling out dead flowers and cutting back perennials. Had to come in and get lunch and warm up! And check in with my snowbirds.
Trying to enjoy some "nice" weather today. We're supposed to get a cold front and maybe SN*W tomorrow! Going to a bunch of Halloween parties tonight. I think a nap is in order this p.m. Especially since my DDs were up before 6:30! UGH!

DD7 was not happy when I told her no fish for a while. She ignores the dog most of the time. I told her she could start helping out with him like she promised when we got him (almost two years ago!!). We'll see what happens.

We love Casey's and have also eaten at Cosmic Ray's a few times. Pretty good, lots of options, but if it's busy you need to go in the right lines! I'm hoping to get clam chowder at Columbia Harbor house. Never had it. I think last year when we were there (MLK weekend Friday) that mexican place in MK was closed. I don't remember about Pecos Bills. I thought the Mexican place was more seasonal.
We almost always eat CS - I like to snack around Epcot! In DHS we ate at someplace near Fantasmic one time. Nothing too exciting since I don't even remember what I ate. Very rarely have I had a bad food experience anywhere at WDW. Some are just more memorable or better than others. My kids almost always get hot dogs or chicken nuggets wherever we go. They're kind of boring and unadventerous eaters (unlike their mother!!).
