The LONG way around! I was looking up Boston and just zoomed in to my town and then my street.

I just called LMT. They said the $1100 threshold is not true. What they are now telling people is IF you book an expensive trip and if it is availble - you win it - then they realized they are now going to have to send out 1099 because people were booking more expensive trips they they thought they would. Anything over $500 you will receive a 1099 if your trip is under $500 you will not receive a 1099.

I don't understand how they can legally do this. It's advertised as a $1 room. You aren't entering a contest or sweepstakes. You are agreeing to purchase a hotel room for $1, as advertised.

Well, it's not the first thing that's frustrated me by this whole experience.

Nobody in my family know what I am doing on the computer all of the time...they think I am working...HA

I am trying to get a trip for my 8 year old granddaughter for Spring Break. Last year the week before Spring Break she was attacked by a neighbor's dog and spent all of the month of March with me laying around with stitches in her face from her nose across her cheek (30 stitches worth) ..... she keeps telling me that she wants to have fun this Spring Break....

How much is a lottery ticket to win millions? Uncle Sam lets you have nothing for free in this world if he can help it. If your mother gives you money GIFT you are suppose to claim it. But obviously most people don't.

Whenever you win something (unless it is church or school function) they never hand over the prize before getting your SS#. I am sure a 1099 form will come over with the final paper work. Think about all the people pissed off at Oprah because they had to pay taxes on the cars they won!

Yes, I know. I win in Vegas often enough. You usually are told this before you agree to accept the money, however.

I wasn't told jack squat. I haven't signed anything, etc.
