People, let's not forget this is a forum, where everyone can discuss things in a civil manner.
Personally, if I want EMH, I make the effort to stay on site or at the DTD Hilton (which can offer great rates). But, families renting a campsite and staying off site has been going on for years.
Does it "deny" some families the chance to visit Disney? Yes
But, it is their money and they have a right to their choices.
IMO, I feel many people are in such poor financial shape (as well as our Country, State and Cities) because of bad judgments in their spending habits. Why spend if you can't afford it? While there are people that save and budget and spend their money wisely. Sure, I would like to nip tuck my aging body
rotfl
, but I want my kids to go to college too.
Please, I AM NOT knocking those that are down on their luck. Many people just can't seem to dig out of a pretty deep hole.
Sure, we are an excessive country, but we are also a generous country that is the first to step up to help when needed.
The price of a campsite is a small part in the big picture of a Disney vacation. Add the food, ticket cost
, transportation and it adds up!
Let's remember what the the DISboards are all about - discussing our love for all things Disney.
