Lushes unite: Favorite drinks at WDW

Great thread, vettechick99! I love that first picture of your DD in your signature... that "perfect angel" expression! Too cute! :)

I had the blue glowtini back in August 2008. It was okay, but I'm not a big vodka fan. Cool glow cube souvenier though ;)

I always see people mention the Grey Goose Slush and the Grand Marnier slush. I loooove frozen drinks. I'm wondering if I'd like them, or which one I might like best. Can someone describe the taste of these? (If it helps, I enjoy pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, margaritas (regular and strawberry), and whisky sours)

Grey Goose Slush - like a frozen lemon drop but milder

Grand Marnier Slush - like a orange creamsicle

Both are very good. We usually get one of each :upsidedow .....or more.

France= St. Emillion Red . A very full bodied red wine , great with the cheese plate.
Mexico= Margaritas in the new Tapas bar yummy.
Italy= Chianti Classico Reserve 2006 ,paired with the antipasto for two. Yummy and romantic.
UK= Welsh Dragon.
Germany= Big Red (can not remember the name, but is a dry red like a Cab very full flavored) great with dark chocolate
Norway= Again a Cab and a fruit tart.

OMG I am making myself very hungary and thirsty...this wil not due for my diet/workout program.

Thanks, Rudegrle! Love creamsicle and lemon drop, so I will definitely have to try both one day!

I can't wait to try them all!!!!! M brother can do all the beers and I'll keep up with all the fun ones:cool1: June can't get here quick enough!!!

Try a "Loaded Corona" at any pool bar. Simply add a shot of Bacardi Limon to the neck of a full Corona bottle and tip (like with a lime). It is basically a shot and a beer in one!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: You do not taste the rum but you will certainly feel it!!! Delish

Do they make these at the pool bars if you ask for them? Or do you have to order the corona and a shot and then mix it yourself?

Fabulous!! p.s...this thread is amazing! glad to know that there are so many other people out there that enjoy drinking at disney as much as I do!:yay:

Has anyone ever had anything yummy at the Dawa Bar in Ak?? If so, what did you like??

My favorite drink is at O'hana. It is called Lapu Lapu: Myers rum and tropical juices served in a pineapple and topped with Bacardi 151 ...Yum!:beach:

Two words: Welsh Dragon. Found at the Rose and Crown Pub. Melon liqueur, creme de menthe, peach schnapps, orange juice and pineapple juice, served in a souvenir glass. Heavenly! How I wish I could post a picture...

That sounds amazing! I must try one! My favorite is a Snake Bite from RR as well as anything from R&C. :drinking1: We adore F&W and drinking around the world is my favorite thing to do at WDW. I enjoy the slushies but not the price  The Sam Adams kiosk is one of my favs and I really like the Cherry Wheat, and this years Festival beer was great!

Can you get the Lapu Lapu at the Tambu Lounge or the Kona Cafe or is 'Ohana the only place you can get it?

I have heard a lot about that drink and want to try it when I'm there in May.

The Yak Attack in AK is delicious, as is the oolong peach schnapps tea slushie thingy in China at Epcot.. I highly recommend both!!

Yes, you can get the Lapu Lapu @ the Tambu! If you are there, ask for Jen she's a great bartender @ Tambu

I had a drink at the Coral Reef that was VERY good -- here's the description from the menu.

Magical Star Cocktail:
Light up your celebration with X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenir Multicolored Glow Cube 10.25

funny story: This is my ALL time favorite drink, so I wanted to recreate it at home, and went looking for all the ingredients. Turns out that there's no such thing as "X-Fusion", it's actually called "X-Rated" but I guess that name just wasn't Disney appropriate!

I have been staying away from this thread. We leave in 3 days and not being able to drink these yummy drinks at WDW is so sad to me! Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

I think I missed out on something. You mean EPCOT isn't ALL about chasing around characters and collecting FP ;)

the best i have done is a cold draft at dinner. Tell me where do I find these yummy drinks.. are they only at TS restaurants or do they actually have bars that I completely missed in my quest to find Belle and Jasmine?

Just read that Grey Goose Slush is kind of lemon-ish... isn't there a grey goose drink that is berry-grape-ish. Had something like that in Las vegas - very good... but then everything was GREAT that night
