2010 Swap Calendar

Sorry to be behind on posting the DHS swap. I'm posting an interest thread in a few minutes. I will open sign-ups on Friday morning around 9:00 am. Looking at the calendar, it looks like May is open, so I'm aiming for a due date of the 15th.

Hi, wasn't sure where to start the ball rolling, and thought this looked like a good spot.

I have been swapping here for a year and a half, and would like to "give back" and host a swap. I noticed that in the past (2008?) we had a smaller swap -- Universal, Islands, and Sea World. I thought that would be fun to have this year -- especially with Harry Potter opening up.

I think if I were to do it I would also like to add a few Space Center categories -- maybe call it the "Other Parks Swap". I would also want to have altered letters and altered words (the 2" letters).

When looking at the calendar it looked like late September for sign ups with the elements due mid November could work??

We are planning a trip to Sea World this year. I would be interested in this portion of the swap. There isn't much on the calendar at the end of the year...looks like good timing.

I would like to add the Tag Book Swap to the calendar.

Sign ups October 1st
Due date December 3rd

[this way I can get them out back out before the card mail over runs the post office]

These will include Disney characters, Disney colors, holidays and zoo groups.

Christmas, Halloween, etc. I could do some disney themed if interest.
Elements I was thinking, unless pages are requested.

Catching Up on the last few posts:

Other Parks Swap added to Sept- when you have a date for sign-ups let me know. I don't need anything for Sea World or Universal but would do a group for Bush Gardens or Space center photos.

ABC- I am leaving it on the calendar as letter- when it gets closer check and see if people want elements- you can certainly add them- I suspect that you may have more than 1 group of letters anyway. I would love to do an ABC of each park (just the letters) sometime- I think that would be lots of fun- I don't mean in this swap- just thinking aloud.

I am interested in hosting a swap in late fall/early winter. What do I need to do? I will have participated in several swaps by that time: Disney Newbie Swap, Resort Swap, Animal Kingdom Swap, and Topper/Tag Swap. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks -- Don't know exact date for signup, but it will be the week of September 20 and it will be due on November 18th. I like adding a section for Bush Gardens as well. I will do an interest thread early September.

I may join the Other Parks swap. My plan is to go to Universal in June for HP. It's good this swap will be in the fall, because then I will know exactly what I need because I will already have the photos.

Has there been a Magic Kingdom Elements swap this year? I didn't see anything and I was thinking about hosting a swap like that this fall. Just let me know if it's been done because I have lots of other swap ideas.

I hostessed the Magic Kingdom swap earlier this year (January-March). We generally only do each theme once a year so that one wouldn't be up again until next year. If you look towards the bottom of the first post on the first page, there is a list of some swaps that nobody has signed up to hostess yet. Or, you can create something new! Good luck!

I saw on the calendar that there is no hostess listed next to the Everyday swap. Does that mean no one has voluteered to do it or it was an oversight? I am only asking because I wasn't sure if it would then be cancelled or what happens with it. I guess.....just wondering!! LOL

Stephanie is one of our best hostesses. She can defintely handle two swaps at once. I'm not sure what her plans are though.
