Welcome! Tell us all the details, looks like you'll be there the same time as me, and I love looking for fellow DIS-sers.

Details? Okay, fun! We are a family of five; me, hubby, daughter 13, son 12, and son 8. We've only been to Disney once before, 5 years ago. Our previous stay was at POR and we LOVED it but one room with a tiny trundle just won't cut it anymore so this time we are staying in a Family Suite at ASMu. We are so excited!

We're staying 7 nights with the free quick service dining but we booked dinner at Chef Mickey's our first night. Nothing kicks off a Disney vaca quite like eating with Mickey and the gang. None of us have ever been to Disney at Christmas, I can't wait to see it all lit up and decorated. It's getting so close now!!!

It doesn't seem real until you get those luggage tags!

Although... since we cancelled the last trip right before we headed out to the airport, I'm not going to feel it is REAL this time until I'm standing on Main Street, USA. Then I'm going to CRY!

Oh, you are going to love WDW at Christmas! We went 3 years ago during the same week as this time, and it is truly magical, with all the decorations and holiday music, etc. And Illuminations holiday made me cry, but in a good way! We have talked about doing the family suite as well, we just have 4 of us, but my girls are getting weird about sharing a bed, so we may be trying them next. I'd love to hear your thoughts on them! We agree, need the original gang on the first day, though we are doing ours at Cape May the first day and Tusker house the second. My dd12 is very into Minnie right now, so that's who she wants to see especially much.

I sent out our big check to WDW travel Co Inc yesterday, it is getting closer and closer for us. Now my next step is waiting for my Mickey Mail!!!

This is our first time to be at WDW over Christmas, actually our firt time away from home for Christmas! We are all super excited. We have been to WDW several times before so we are not new to it, we were there this past March and have stayed at POR 5 times in a row!

I am a little worried about the crowds. We usually go over spring break and sure it is a little busy then, but nothing like this is going to be. We have one that will still be in a stroller, she just turned 3 and does have heart conditions that make her tire more eaisly, but she is a real trooper and will nap in the stroller no porblem. I have a lot of problems with my back and will be getting a new back brace just before we go (Im hoping its comfortable) and I usually have to get a GAC because stairs and standing too long are not good on my back. I only use it when needed, which is pretty much anytime after day 1 or 2.

Can anyone with experience with this time of year tell me the good and bad, is it really going to be crazy? I did what I probably shouldnt have and booked CRT for a Christmas morning breakfast, I know MK will be crazy, but Ill bear with it. Do the other parks usually shut down due to crowd that week? We will be there 2 weeks, so we can take our time and do each park 2 if we want, but I do have a plan with what park we will go to and what day and ADRs made, just like I do in March.

We got our ME tags last week and got the souviner luggage tags yesterday, did you get just the yellow ME tags or did you get the hard blue and white tags too? If you haven't gotten the hard tags then you haven't gotten the Mickey Mail yet but you should soon, it looks like you get there 2 days after us so maybe you will get your packet two days after I got mine.
