I'm almost done packing, but it's getting harder and harder to keep this a secret. Everyday, I find myself almost slipping! Sunday cannot get here soon enough so I can finally stop being so anxious about keeping things under wraps.
I know I have shared elsewhere, but my kids (9,8,5) have no idea about this. We are telling them by having an Unbirthday Party the morning we leave.
Every Sunday, my DH gets donuts for the kids. So, we figured this would be the best way to tell them. We have Mickey-themed party decor and we've special ordered Mickey-shaped donuts (DH did...I sure hope they come out okay...I did a draft for the lady he buys donuts from every week). He'll have it all set up and then they will read their "announcements...
The car will be loaded and we will be on our way.

I'm offically in VA at my mom's house. We had a good trip, got on the road at 4:15am and arrived a little after 1pm. I'm not sure if it's allergies or if she caught pink eye but I'm really hoping for the prior when it comes to Gillian....her eye has been wattering and oozing green and then it goes from slightly pink to back to white. I'm going to see how she is in the morning though and if it's worse I'm calling Tricare to find out where I can take her. I really don't need another kiddo sick this close to Disney!
Glad to hear you made it to your mom's ok. Hope Gillian's eye gets better soon. Does the sunlight bother it - that is more common with pink eye.....but if it is that, antibiotic drops should clear it in a day or two.

I see that you are joining us for the meet on the 10th. Looking forward to meeting you.
Our plans almost mirror yours too. We arrive on the 9th, leave on the 16th and will be in MK on the 10th and 15th and in Epcot on the 14th.
Bummed out. My DH lost his job on Friday.
We are still going to Disney because it's paid in full. Now, I'm not sure if my mom is going with us or my DH (I'm really hoping for DH because my mom is just going to be witchy the entire time thinking we should cancel).
We did cancel the college visit though that would be extra days that weren't planned originally.
I'm not really sure I will be able to make the 20th meet now, it all depends on who is going and what is happening. Everything is wishy-washy at the moment.

I'm already getting to excited/wound-up/nervous to sleep properly. It's going to be a long six more days! Heck, a few of you on the Facebook chat already heard about my totally useless anxiety dream. It involved my toiletry kit, my parents cat, and a church... all while trying to GET to the flight to Disney!
I have four more days of work and today, I'm boss-free. And three of my remaining 6 coworkers are also out. Excellent day to stalk the DIS!

Ok, so I just read on the dining board (is that a credible source??) that the only entree I eat at CRT for lunch has been removed. I did find out that I can switch my CP ADR from a dinner to a lunch and then get a dinner at Narcoosee's (which we've never eaten at).
Should I jump the gun and do this? Or wait for an answer to the email I sent?
I don't waste 2 credits if no one is going to eat what is left on the menu. This was one of our reasons for going deluxe in the first place ::facepalm::

That was one reason we chose to do dinner, I really did not like much on the lunch menu esp. for 2 credits. We are eating at Narcoosees and it looks wonderful. I am really confused by the menus on the WDW site, and even All Ears does not update often. I have no clue what they will have at the castle, but we are going to do it anyway since we have "free dining" this year.

We aren't on free dining and we both have been wanting CRT only for that lunch item. None of the online menus for CRT were completely right before we went there last year. Actually the allears one says it's last update was sometime in 2010. I looked to simply swap it with CP and do dinner at CRT, but it's only available really too late for dd. At 9:15 or something like that. I don't knoww hat I am going to do now. I'm waiting for a response from either Disney or a few other people who are down there now and have meals at CRT
When do you leave? Did you have a package or room only? Edited to say: I saw on FB when you leave. I'd call.

No, we're driving. Leaving Thursday afternoon, have a reservation at the Royal Plaza at DTD on Friday night, then check into CSR for 7 nights on Saturday the 16th.
Maybe we'll see you there!!
