OK - I have a question about all of this.
We are have an in-park ceremony next year as well as an in-park dinner and fireworks party. My neice is truly a guest at our wedding and happens to do photographer as a hobby. I was planning on asking her to take some pictures during the day....would that REALLY be a no no? I mean, she is a true guest, who happens to love taking pictures.
I asked the SAME exact question in my post, disney can't stop a guest or a family member or friend who is a photographer from taking a picture. It's one of those gray areas that everyone kind of dances around. I think just because you have the title "photographer" you shouldn't be shunned from taking a photograph at the wedding or at any in park event or vacation. The problem doesn't come when they are taking the photos it's when other people see them that did not have outside photographers allowed at their event that it turns into a big deal. I'm pretty sure if every past, present and future disney bride had a friend or relative that was a photographer (not a paid photographer invited as a "guest") they would have them shoot and that person would then put it in their portfolio or post it somewhere because how couldn't you, you put so much time and money into this event that you want to share it with everyone and trust me, i know I LOVE seeing all disney wedding photos - sadly its the highlight of my day And i hope i can be so bold to say that no bride here past present or future would ever have a problem with a REAL friend or family member taking "professional" style photos (in addition to the reg photographer).
