Post pics of your bag you carry into park

We have never been to WDW before and our first trip is coing up next week. I haven't got a bag to carry with us yet. Are you allowed to bring your bag with you on the rides??? Is there a maximum size they will allow you to bring with you on the rides??
Yes, you can bring your bag on the rides with you. I don't know if there's a maximum size limit, but I've seen people bring pretty sizable backpacks and shopping bags on some rides. I use a decent sized messenger bag and have never had a problem.

I haven't tried it at Disney, but I have one and it seems like it would be a good size for what you need to carry. It won't be waterproof, but if you are carrying ponchos, it won't be an issue. A little bit of water won't hurt it (you could pack a ziplock for meds & camera just to be on the safe side). I've found VB bags to breathe in the heat.

If you like the cross-body style and the Hipster is too small, take a look on eBay at the Vera Bradley "Cargo Sling". It's not made any more, but I've used that as a park bag several times and it's roomier than the Hipster but still cross-body and just a really handy bag.

Thank you so much - I'm going to the outlet tomorrow to get the backpack!

I have a smaller VB backpack and I love it. I was thinking about updating it (after several vacations, the wear and tear is starting to show). DH wanted a more "manly" backpack since he got stuck with it a lot on this trip, so we bought an Eddie Bauer backpack with a breathable back, but I'll still be bringing the VB backpack along for the lighter days in the park. We also got a larger camera and last year was a little awkward, always juggling it to get to whatever was in the bottom of the pack. If you have a small camera, it really is a great little bag!

Last year I also had the VB wristlet to keep track of my phone and tickets and fast passes. It was the perfect size, but the strap did get on my nerves and it was so bulky that even though it fit in my cargo pocket, I felt weighted down by it. This year I'm going to try the "mini hipster" as a makeshift wallet (with a strap) that can stay in the backpack until DH and I go our separate ways with the kids and then I'll have the essentials with me.

Good luck in what you choose! I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I find a pattern I like (I'm hoping the fall 2012 patterns that come out in August will be more appealing for me - mine is in Java Blue, but I haven't liked a pattern since Buttercup).

Thanks! i really think that the Vb backpack will be perfect - although, your right, I don't think my DH will like carrying it, either! I'm going to the outlet to get it tomorrow!

The Vera Bradley backpack is on sale on their web site (in some colors) for $44 today, February 20th, 2012! It's $88 full price.

Thanks for this info! I'm going to try the outlet tomorrow. I'm very lucky to have one only 30 minutes away. They usually have awesome sales - even better sometimes than what they have online - hence, the reason why I have WAY too many VB bags!!!!

It is a very good thing I don't live near an outlet! I've always wanted to go to the one in Orlando, but I've never made it. Someone posted on the other thread that the backpack will be cheaper at the outlet than on the web site, sounds like a good deal!

Not going to WDW until October, but couldn't resist a good bag thread. Unfortunately that led to me ordering the Piazza Day Bag and the Terrace mini bag in eggplant from Walmart.com. Have both a two week trip to wdw:cool1: in oct and a cruise to key west and the bahamas in January so they will both get good use!!

Well, I got a good deal (not great) on the backpack. The on-line deal they were running was a little better, but then I guess I saved on shipping. It was going for $52, but they had very little selection of colors. I had a birthday coupon for $20, so it ended up costing me $32, so I was happy. Got it in Symphony in Hue. Very pretty! Looks like it will be light and hold everything I need to carry! Thanks for the info!!:)

Ordered this from Amazon for my recent trip and loved it! The Baggallini Zip N Go - it's about 9" x 7" x 3", a nice choice if you don't need something as big as a backpack or messenger bag, but want to be able to carry some extras (like gloves for those freezing cold mornings!). It works as a shoulder bag, cross-body bag, or waist bag, and it really is liquid-repellent (I dripped OJ on it at AK and it beaded up and wiped right off). The credit card slots in the front of the shorter section (2nd zipper down) were great for stowing my KTTW, FPs and Photopass. The 2 front zip sections are flat, the upper two are deep/thick (good for camera, wallet, phone, etc) and there is a flat pocket on the back ideal for park maps/schedules. This is the "Mushroom" color with blue interior.

We are planning our first family trip for September. We have a 4 and a 2 year old. We also have a DLSR camera which we will be taking. Which bag would be better to purchase, the baggallini messenger sling or Lowepro passport sling? :confused3

The baggallini is thin/lightweight and has zero padding, so unless you have an insert for you DSLR I'd definitely choose the Lowepro out of those two. :thumbsup2

I am concerned that I won't be able to fit much besides the camera in the Lowepro. My husband will also be carrying a bag though...thanks for the advice:)

Just purchased the Baggalinni Zip and Go recommended here on this wonderful board!!. I got the bright TOMATO color for $27.90 free shipping from Amazon! Can't wait to use it!! TY guys!!:lovestruc

If you have a few items you need to bring on try using a bag with thin material so you can fit more items on with ya! Just saying...:thumbsup2

I love my baggalini messenger sling. I only use it for WDW and love it so much. It fits an amazing amount of stuff for being so small. Very well organized pouches and pockets and fits me well.

My signature picture shows my bag... it's a Baggallini Messenger. Love it! It fits a surprising amount of stuff, and it's comfortable.

My concern with the Baggalini messenger sling is how is rests on your back. Do you have to remove it when you sit down, or you can you side it to the front without removing it? Can you access it while still wearing it while in a checkout line?

I took it off if we sat down to eat at a restaurant, or went on a ride, etc. But if we sat to rest for a little bit on a bench in the parks, it easily slid out of the way and to the side.

And yes, I actually accessed it many times without taking it off. Again, I just slid it around to my side/towards the front. This was one of the main reasons I wound up loving this bag so much! :thumbsup2

On several rides, I didn't even take it off. I just kind of shifted it around to my front or side, depending on the ride.

Whatever I can fit into my pockets and camera bag is all I take in! Does that count? :)

I am considering this as my park bag. I have a couple of questions though. I am very petite so I am looking for a bag that doesnt overwhelm me but has a decent amount of space. My questions are

1. I am 4ft 10.5inches tall about 100lbs ! ;) Is this bag gonna hang really low on me or can be adjusted fairly small?

2. Do you think this bag is gonna feel overwhelming on me?

3. Dose is rub and chaff on your neck?

4. Can it hold alot of stuff ? Like autograph book ponchos water bottles? spare change of clothes? would love to see a picture of what all you bag can hold

5. If you had to choose again would you still chose this bag or wish you would have picked soemthing else?
