Lucky duck! I just tried the same Alamo codes for Sept 19 - 27 and got $378 all in!

I did manage to get $200.08 all in from Enterprise using rentalcar momma though. Guess I'll wait a few days and try the Alamo costco/visa codes again. I only paid $130.00 last year for the same period, so I'm staying hopeful!

I just got a standard (so will automatically get a full size) through Alamo for $174.66 total for nine days (Sept 14th-22nd) using Alamo Insiders, Visa coupon, and Costco ID. Using the City Specials I got about the same price going through Dollar.

Yes, I noticed that if I drop just one day off my res, it jacks the price waaaay up!!!
Apparently they are rewarding folks who are renting nine or more days!

Budget dropped significantly today for my dates of 9/1-9/7. I used the Costco code and coupon and got it for $131.88. I'll keep checking. It may have been a fluke, but in December of 2011 I kept checking and it kept getting lower and lower. We got our rental car with Alamo for that week for $67 total!!

Being an Alamo insider will get you the same discount as the Costco code.
Can't help you on the Visa though!

Yep, I agree with Auger, being an Alamo insider will get you the same rate (& it's free to join). That's the code I'm using.
On the August car rental thread, there's a post with a code for mastercard coupon for Alamo (for those who don't have visa). Maybe that can help you. Oh, here's the mastercard code... AF2604JDN. I think it may be for a free day? I remember it's not quite as good as the $30 off visa coupon, but at least it's something.

Wow, so did mine! Earlier this morning it was $174.66. Now it's $430.62 for the same car and dates. Almost every day last week it dropped a little, then from Sunday until this morning it was stuck on $174.66, now it's back up to $430.62. Glad I booked when I did.

Thank you so much for the MasterCard coupon for Alamo. I just saved $31.xx on my reservation in September. I am picking up at the car care center and dropping it off at FLL 9 days later, so it was up to $393.00! Now it is $360.00. I will continue to watch for even better discounts! But I appreciate the information!

Thanks for the update about COSTCO/Budget rates. Had booked a couple of days ago for Sept 8th - Sept 14th...$169. Just re-booked for $130! These prices are really moving targets.

You're not the only one - I'm still over $350.

I do this EVERY year (stress about it) and always manage to get it between $130-$150 for the week, so I'm sure it will drop ... eventually!

I think we're to early for end of September. I'm looking for September 25 to October 5. So far, nothing good.
